Turbo Options for Satria GTI

Hi,

I've been searching around the forum for topics on turbocharging u'r
Satria Gti.

The original 4g93 was a turbo right? I read somewhere that becoz of that fact,
it would be relatively easy and straightforward 2 turbocharge your GTIs.

Do alot of people turbo their GTIs?

What options would I have? Do i have to do a full engine transplant to
the original 4g93t? Can i just bolt on a similar turbo? Btw what turbo does
the original 4g93t use? Please advise..

Hi,

There is no problem at all for u to just iistall turbo to ur 4G93p engine. Actually everything is the same. Main thing to remember is to :

1: Change ur piston to a low compression one.
2: ull need to find gsr extractor and injector
3: u can use TDO5H or TDO4 turbo
4: recommend to use VR4 intercooler
5: oil cooler
6:dont have to change ur gear box unless u want to go for higher boost.
7:Throttel body.

Get a SAFC for your fuel tuning at the very least...
You'd need to get a full exhaust system with bigger diameter piping as well. While doing the piston change you may as well go for 1.2mm metal gaskets, too.
