Waja fuel meter

Guys, Seek you advise.. After recent change of the fuel pump casket my fuel meter is not working properly. It will pointer at the empty and no signal light when it is in the reserve.
If i start the car on the 1st gear without press the clutch it would jerk and the fuel meter will light up for awhile. can anyone help me?

maybe a loose wire. get your foreman that installed the fuel pump to rectify it.

Could be the float too?
Moreover how to start the car in 1st gear without pressing the clutch?
