hi there lanusb, just wondering about the batt consumption on this type of 2 way radio, and the effective range.

oops 5 miles, so calculate up around 4km?

anyway neev timed the battery, i charge it when i get the chance to do it...........
effective range i am not sure but i am sure shorter than 5miles cause we do not have a repeater in malaysia unlike australia

bro 5 mile convert to km would be more or less 8km, i been using this 2 way radio but i don't know why the batt consumption is to high, full charge roughly around 8hr, but after using 1hr the batt indicator show low batt, just wondering if my batt is foulty or the set is foulty because the range also suck, better than my old panasonic 2way radio, only 2mile range. You have any idea to solve this?
