Can anyone recommend a place where I can balance my crank pulley?

Some part of my pulley's edge has chipped off. To balance it off, I drilled a small hole on the opposite side of that chipped part but this is just a very rough estimation. I do not know how much weight should be drilled of.

Can anyone recommend where I can balance it and how much it cost?

Thanks.

Small pulley like that doesn't need balancing.. If I'm not mistaken..

If u wanna do engine balancing, u need d whole crank assembly.. That is crank pulley, crankshaft, flywheel n clutch cover

I've done it b4 at a shop that has d machine in klang

Thank u for ur advice bro...

Coz before this i actually wana change to LCP. But a few of my friends said LCP without dampener will cause vibrations and it kills the bearings fast. So that's why i'm worried now. Although its still stock pulley, but some material chipped off and i can't balance it properly.

Really no need? Is it necessary or am i being paranoid?

LCP is ok without dampener in 4age 20v 'coz.d original crank pulley itself doesn't hv it

They must use another engine that uses dampener

I recommend aerospeed hardened crank pulley

P/s : Actually I've bring a few pulleys that's a bit larger than 4age crank pulley to d shop.. N they said no need balancing..

blacktop crank pulley got dampener bro. the rubber between the inner part and outer part of the pulley.

why don't you just buy a crank pulley from chop shop? should be cheaper than balancing.
plus if i am not mistaken, japanese in-line 4 engines are internally balanced.

Original crank pulleys will have a rubber damper lining in between. My VR one gave way years ago, means they came apart. I have replaced with a machined crank pulley but not LCP but full metal one that is just as heavy.

this is a pic of 4age 20v crank pulley..

mine is exactly like this.. no rubber what-so-ever..

when i wanna change to LCP, i also check n double check it.. no rubber..

mayb other engine model have rubber.. but not 4age 20v

If the engine really is internally balanced, a screwed up crank pulley will throw things off balance. Probably gonna kill your pulley faster like what happened to my engine. Changed 3 pulleys in 3 months

A screwed up crank pulley will throw things off balance regardless your engine is internal or externally balanced.

There's no need to balance the crank pulley cause there's no harmonic damper. If it is an externally balanced engine, the harmonic damper and flywheel must be mounted onto the crank and be balanced together.

That being said. Apparently 4AG crank pulleys are balanced to... itself

i think ur engine off balance already..

check your flywheel n clutch cover.. mayb not properly installed..

if those 2 got no problem, u need to balance ur crank assembly (everything i mention above)

Yeah I know. Which is why I did that already. Now with the pulley I'm using and after wasting shitloads of !@#(*!@)&%!(@#&@!(&^% money rebalancing it's all good.
