Hello brothers, pls don't call me sifu le... my car don't have BEAMS or 7A block or high cam or adj sus... all stock! As far as i am concern, the components use in 101's ECU (S/C or 20V) cannot meet the ECU's requirement. "The requirement" mean not giving any problems until you scrap the car. So far, 86's and 92's ECU doesn't give any problem till now but many of 101's starts giving problem --> due to the design calculation for 101's isn't as optimistic as '92 and '86 and some of the part started to failed after 10~15 years of service. The only way to get rid of it is to replace ALL those problem parts and by doing this way you will be able to further extend the ECU's life span for say, up to another 10 years (theoritically). Bare in mind that the replacement parts MUST be at least same or better grade than the original parts (for automotive application) otherwise the ECU will not be able to gain back it original performance. Unlike 20V, once 101 S/C's ECU having problem, 50% cases the main chip will die at the same time and this mean the ECU cannot be rebuild any longer. Therefore, "early treatment" is highly recomended for 101 S/C's ECU!
