Hi all,

Just wondering can EVO braided steel brake hose fit into EG 2 doors?

Heard from someone said that all braided steel brake hose is the same & it's only the difference is long & short only. Is it true?

Can it fit? As I got it from my friend front is Project U & rear is Goodrich brand. Tempolary he's not using for his EVO. If can't fit, will pass it back to him....

dont think so. the length are all different. if evo can be used on eg, they wont bother making braided hose for EG, or EK, or DC etc. They'd make 1 universal hose.

actually the NEW braided hose prices now are pretty low already.. why want to convert to non standard ones?

I used my rubber ones for like 3 years plus, after changing, not much different except for pedal feel.. It's not like braking distance become shorter or something. :P

After all why want to risk a leak? brake system with leaks = lousy brakes to no brakes at all.. (O_o)

My friend experience the local made braided hose & it will leak. My intention to get Japan's braided hose is due to track use. Not for normal driving use.

By the way, anyone use standard brake hose in track without any problem? Is it advisable to change braided steel brake hose for track use?

if you want to go the cheaper DIY root....just get stock rubber hosses & cable tie (reinforce the hose) it all round......ive used it on SIC track days, did 5 laps straight with no brake fade issues...
