AE101 Mystery Rear Springs

Hi All,

Apparently there are a set of stock rear springs that does not let our AE101 sag. Is this true? I've removed my rear springs to check and measure. It's approx 13inch. Are there any higher ones that doesn't let our beloved sag?

Use it b4, even carry full load the tyre toughing fender only.

Thanks for the reply but I believe he's talking about how hard or soft. I'm fine with the stock spring in terms of comfort but just the height and the rear sagging till the tires are in the fender..especially with full tank and 2ppl at the back...it gets worst.

My mech told me abt this guy in KL that sells stock halfcut springs from AE101 but it's about 15inches high compared to the once i have which is 13inches. Of course this calculation is based on springs removed from the abs.. so i just wanted to check if anyone have ever heard of this mysterious springs...hehe

Its the st series spring. very high 4-5 finger gap.

I just want to suggest that rubber thing you insert between the coils. Damn suddenly I can't remember what it's called. I've been using it for almost a year. Bought the highest size available for RM50 per pair just for the rear coils. Tyres not touching anything except the road now even on full load. There have been mixed reviews on this but if you ask me, I'm happy that I bought them. I don't drive like a racer anyways :P

You mean the corona ST171 spring ? Ya I saw it somewhere saying that stock rear st171 spring can cure the sagging problem ..

ST171? will look for it and give a try. No mods rite? direct fit into the rear abs for AE101?
