UY-GTJ Uphill Breakfast 30th Jan 2011

I'd like to invite fellow Skyliners up UY-GTJ for an uphill breakfast. Our beloved Ketua Darjah, Blood Red, highly recommends the roti telur.. Supposedly it's the best so far from what he had tasted before in Putra Heights, KL Sentral and even Batam.

Date: 30th Jan 2011 (Sunday)

Starting point: Petronas Taman Samudera, near Giant Batu Caves. http://www.streetdirectory.com.my/malaysia/kl/travel/travel_id_6033/travel_site_175185/

Starting Time: 0650-0700 (To enable us to have breakfast at around 0800-0815 at GTJ and allow those who wants to reach home by 0930-1000 to return on time)

Speed: Moderate as drivers may bring families along

We will leave Petronas Batu Caves strictly at 7am latest (earlier if everybody's ready). Later than that and the traffic would be building up quite rapidly along the route.

Please note that at the 1st Police guardhouse coming up to GTJ, the bumps are a wee bit high. So crabwalk as necessary.

Roads may be wet and be prepared for light drizzle as well. Might get low visibility nearing the top due to fog too so be careful.

The red R34 is damn fast, kenot kejar one.. The blue 4-door R32 pulak is the fastest of the fastest.. Both gila kuasa gang..

Red R34 not fast. Brake oso shaking. Suspension standard some more... not nice la to drive. Must upgrade brake and suspension first.

Roti telur at GTJ won't taste the same without u bro..

U dont need Endless as yet especially in the current standard and 180km/h limited setup, all u need are steel braided hoses bro..

Suspension can be kawtim-ed with a used set of adjustables which can go as cheap as RM1.5 a pop. A full set of brand new suspension from Japan would give at least 7k of damage. Locally-made ones such as GAB, HotBits or Titan may be much cheaper but the quality and durability is suspect (in my opinion anyway)..

U've got two weeks to put in the steel braided hoses by which downtime should be minimal. Look out for a set of suspension in ZtH and mudah.my, I'm sure u could find some. Once bought, putting them on wouls also need very minimal downtime.. All could be done well before the uphill breakfast..

Temujin, what's the function of a steel braided hoses? And how does it look like?

And is there a major difference between a aftermarket suspension and the stock one? Suspension only comes in when there is hard cornering right? Suspension brings your car back to the ground?

Uhmm, might be interested in the complete brembo setup....depending on price...lemme know bro...

I really need better brake setup.

Oh sudaa kawtim aa.. Sorry hehe. Well, I do agree that u need a better brake setup as I do too.. I'm using 4-pot Sumitomos like any other early BNR32s albeit with cross-drilled discs.

Getting Loki's Brembos are not a bad idea though.. Gobiz should let u have it first as his gojira is due to complete engine rebuild AND tuning only after CNY. So to be fit enough to go up the bukit AND needing them Brembos are still a couple of weeks more..

Even if u get the Endless now, I'm not too sure with the balance.. U'd still have the tiny 2-pot at the rear..

Get the suspensions first IMHO, a couple of cheap used ones are there on the net. Lower the car a bit and ur good to go!
