Nobody done this be4?

last time mebbe can la bro....nowadays JPJ are pretty strict already.... too many of them caught for taking undertable money and widely publicized too..

so i really doubt theres a way to get it legalized...even if u manage to get it done via undertable, if u kena stop at roadblock, u might end up in big trouble. coz they would definitely suspect u for bribing and might charge u with it. can turn into a pretty serious case. not forgetting ur car kena sita one shot.

but thats worst case scenario la....

well i once knew a guy who drove a satria neo with a b18cR inside. he told me he spent a shitload on the car, and he actually had it registered illegally, but even so, the jpj officer told him "if u see roadblock, pray"

so i think its not worth the time, money and risk...

even using 4wd isnt as big a risk as putting in a honda engine coz u can hide the rear axle from plain sight by using ur exhaust pipings
then the only way they can find out is if you go to inspection and they look under the car
thats worse case scenario
in the case of putting in honda engine they will know as soon as u open your hood

Just curious, if some conti cars can transplanted japs engines eg. 2jzgte, sr20det and RB26dett, why proton cannot?

It is "Dasar Pandang ke Timur" what...

in the case of conti cars....ive heard that mounting doesnt really need to be modified hence the legality.

but not sure true or not la....never actually seen a conti engine bay with nippon engine in real life.

from what i heard..its generally more strict if proton car...if non proton cars the rule a bit relaxed...

sunroof for example...if it were done/mod to a proton car...it is more likely you "kena tahan and banyak tanya" compared to non proton cars...same case with engine endorsement (cc up n cross breed)also...

a few reason..

1. Proton is a national car - they want to maintain originality
2. Continental cars transplanted with japanese engine - that's an old story.. now no more, legally..
