my buddy got himself a beautiful gift a E46 coupe.

IMG_0555.JPG

He asked to help him to detail her. with one condition I agree, that he will have to stick around to see what I am doing & taking part of it - so that he know how much effort use - we had great time out sharing the same passion -

Sharing with you a simple guide & how you can get her youthful looks restores yourself:-

IMG_0285.JPG

Great looking Coupe
IMG_0328.JPG

some residues from the previous detail

kinda dull looking leathers
IMG_0273.JPG

worn out door panels
IMG_0274.JPG

dirt collected...
IMG_0291.JPG

the most contaminated part of the car
IMG_0308.JPG

handle with care by all means -

this ride boosted a powerful straight-6, further helped by aluminum body panels and aggressive spoilers, lighter body earned an unmatched status in BMW’s history!

before
IMG_0298.JPG

sprayed on Aliens juices & agitating
IMG_0300.JPG

Brush off with soft bristle brushes - inexpensive and safe brushes for the ultimate wheels
IMG_0301.JPG

I choose to do a safe way to wash - Cleaning with ONR
IMG_0303.JPG

Put your older clay to work,
moving on to clays, the outer coat contamination - lube with alien's juices
IMG_0315.JPG

pls use a separate clay for wheels & body, as it is highly contaminated - with brake dust, asbestos & metal flakes from the rotor

ta da - the finish results
IMG_0294.JPG

how an ugly ducking...
IMG_0313.JPG

turning into a beautiful swan
IMG_0307.JPG

from this
IMG_0293.JPG

ta da
IMG_0563.JPG

good looking ride
IMG_0286.JPG

under the sea - hood
IMG_0280.JPG

IMG_0283.JPG

more dirt
IMG_0281.JPG

opc -

ta da
IMG_0337.JPG

before
IMG_0282.JPG

ta da
IMG_0338.JPG

now
IMG_0339.JPG

simple & effortless - no power spray jet or acidic - super degreaser or chemicals - I just won with 1 brushes & OPC (1:5 ratio) Optimum power clean

ta da
IMG_0342.JPG

__________moving to interior________

the most unrewarding area - brushing off & agitate with Optimum power clean
IMG_0406%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

continue cleanning - the side steps - brushing off & agitate with Optimum power clean
IMG_0408%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

now here comes the hardest to detail
the sticky part - back arm rest console - velco glue peels off
IMG_0374.JPG

so much so the heats of the day - melts even the Araldite Adhesive
IMG_0375.JPG

so much so it was transferred to the arm rest console mmmmmmmnn :-(

IMG_0373.JPG

and i took another hour - to clean up this mass -
I took some thinner to further soften the residue & all mighty power clean to clean up

ta da
IMG_0397%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

from this
IMG_0376.JPG

to beautiful swan again
IMG_0400%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

no more sticky thing - from this experience I found that OPC (agitate with Optimum power clean)is the best antidote against it
IMG_0401%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

this really get me coup me up....fighting with the time loss - quickly move on to interior

IMG_0388.JPG

tada - after opc - wipe down - Leather protectant applied (to protect against heat & UV)
IMG_0418%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

Moving on to the most dangerous part of the ride
the steering - before

OPC agitate & brush off
IMG_0390.JPG

where it should be
IMG_0415%252520%2525282%252529.JPG

moving to the leathers (a 50/50% area set )
IMG_0348.JPG

nope really is the journey & not its destinations

there must be more than this -

here you go KC,
BBC - Newsbeat - UK man charges £7,000 for month-long 'supercar' wash

even in TopGear website http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/britains-most-expensive-car-wash-gurcharn-sahota-2010-07-20

anyway, google the name Gurcharn Sahota

wow - bingo (i always thought Paul Dalton is the only one) now everyone can detail

& i am making my way to Buckingham ;-) will u pls give me the direction

LOL Holy smoke! Nice detail... This is really restored to showroom condition.... And the small pad is so cute aaa... Looks irresistable
