different rim sizes

Hello, im wondering whats the difference of using different sized rims.
Perhaps it could produce more hp on wheels? Better acceleration and better fc?
Right now im using 17' taiwan rims and its heavy. Im considering 16' lightweight
or 15' taiwan rims now.

Aveo 1.5 indeed heavy on 17. Acceleration sucks but its got good high end speed.
Thats why im considering lighter rims. To shave off some of the weight.
But will the difference be alot?

From 17" to 15" there will be a lot of difference in terms of pick-up. FC will improve too, though I'm not sure how much..

depends on type of tyre too. if using high traction tyre with AA rating such as Toyo Proxes T1R, FC will increase too but will be extremely happy when taking high speed corners. If using fuel efficient tyre like Michelin Energy XM2, FC will improve but scary driving on wet roads or during heavy rain.

Yes, if you use light weight 15 inchers like it supposed to, the difference will be very noticeable especially cause your car is a small, low powered econo car which should not be using such big rims in the first place. It's not just about acceleration and FC, but also handling and braking. Bigger & heavier rims (& of course tires) means heavier unsprung weight which hampers handling and braking. So all around your car will feel much2 better using the proper wheel size, which in your case should be just 15 inch. Pick the lightest one you can afford.

I love the looks, and the performance bcs i like driving fast.
Maybe ill just try put on 15s and lets see how satisfied i am with the performance.

Look and performance can go at the same time.
If you were to spend thousands on lightweight wheels, you can also spend that money on BOT instead. Keep you 17".

Yeah ive considered that. Keep the 17s and just mod the performance.
But then BOT an aveo? I cant even find any aftermarket performance parts.

Oh no, you just need find a good modder to do all the jobs for you, the only thing you need to concern about is money.

I think you no need to find the parts but need to find money only now day BOT just like you buying accessory. I think BOT cost around 13 to 20k.

IMHO a car that is optimized to maximize its' function is more beautiful and deserve more respect than just those that just goes for the show off only!
