soft turbo?

twin turbo also can..

1 small turbo for low rpm..

and 1 bigger turbo for high rpm..

don't forget to get a forged piston, conrod and intercooler too

its possible...

Fell in love wif my friend's wife polo tsi, twincharge direct-injection 1.2 wif DSG

if the DSG on standard mode, the acceleration is like you are in a big car.... if DSG in Sport mode, it goes like stink!

his wife claim rm50 from s.alam to TM TTDI (near one utama) via federal highway can get her 1week++... and thats inclusive of trodding in federal's legendary jam... and one thing I know about my fren's wife, and she drove her car hard if condition permits (jalan clear la)

but then, if on twin charge alone (w/o DSG) she won't get that mileage... but still can just beat myvi 1.5's mileage IMHO... remember, polo tsi is myvi-sized but with the weight of persona and a 1.2 engine...

bro, 1.2 tsi oni hv turbo....its not a twin charge.

EDITE: but is there any turbo that can be use in 1.6 engine (CPS) that give really nice response (garret GT2560R maybe) in early RPM and good power range untill higher RPM?

since what i understand that some of the turbo work on diffrent kind of RPM range...etc
some of the turbo work effective at lower RPM but other's work better at higher RPM..

depends on the engine, and setup. i'm running the above mentioned turbo on engine in my honda Jazz/Fit (1.5 L15A1 engine), and it makes, (sorry, i'm from Australia, and we run PSI) 14PSI, (i think that's about 1bar) @ 4000RPM. below 20000RPM, it doesn't make boost, from 2000-3000rpm it makes about 5PSI, (about .4 bar i think), then boost rises quickly.

makes 225bhp, @ 303nm torque

It's actually very driveable. This is using the standard waste gate setup, you can ask to have it changed to lower boost levels if you wish.

Also, every 7PSI, (so about .5bar), is the equivelent of a compression point, and you dont want to rise much above 11:1 compression without forged pistons and rods. My engine runs 9.0:1 pistons, so @ 14PSI it's running about 11:0 compression, were STOCK the L15A1 runs 10.7:1.

honestly, if all you want good low down power, then set up a roots type or whipple type supercharger. Easier to install into a stock N/A engine, (you dont have to build an exhaust manifold, all you need is a bracket made to hold the supercharger to the engine), and makes full boost from pretty much idle.

since power = torque x RPM, you'll end up with much better lowdown power, meaning you dont need to rev the engine as much, which = potential fuel saving

thank's for the input ssrotel . . and for remind me about the compression. Will noted that. . Im not going for sc for now because what im trying to achieve is to make a car that can save petrol (well if drive properly below 4k RPM) then can go wildly fast above that.

So if around 2000RPM turbine already spooling, IMO that very good , since my gearing already in short ratio...... and i think that kinda bad for FI... or any other input?

My target was to make it responsive as possible in every gear and RPM (minimize lagging)

1 more thing, is there any Variable turbo aftermarket setup now?
