Security guards nab four men at shopping complex
KUALA LUMPUR: Security guards nabbed four men, who were attempting to prey on patrons at the car park of a shopping complex in Bandar Utama on Wednesday night.
According to a witness who declined to be named, the four who were in a Proton Wira, were found behaving suspiciously on the fourth floor of the car park.
The situation caught the attention of security guards who tried to stop the car, but the suspects sped off against the flow of traffic and rammed into several other vehicles.
"Despite being blocked by other cars, the suspects were adamant to escape and continued driving until they were trapped on a divider in the car park," the witness added.
He said a group of security guards caught the four suspects and handed them over to the police.
A police spokesman said initial investigations found that the car used by the suspects was stolen in Sungai Buloh. Two parangs were also found in the car boot.
Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed that police had received a report on the incident. - Bernama
