Hey guys,

I recently installed a B.O.T to my 95 BMW 525 at D'pro in Petaling Utama. The piping leaked twice, and manifold leaked 3 times. :banghead: They tried to put the blame on my tuning but did not even bother to secure a vacuum hose (that was leaking) even after i left the car there the whole day! Later on I found out that a hole was drilled into my actuator to increase the boost...wtf...

Anyway, can anyone please recommend someone who can fabricate a really good turbo manifold for a 6-cylinder engine?

thanks

drill a hole in ur actuator to incrase boost? wtf:confused:

seriously noob if like that

if all the leakages happened after BOT, mean the workmanship is damn poor...

drilling the wastegate actuator to increase boost....this is the first time i heard that....usually mech will try to make the rod straighter / longer.......hmmmm

D'pro is the last place i would go lolx , i saw them do a bolt on a Honda EX , lolx poor very poor stuff
even if i guide my local exhaust shop , i can do a bolt on kit much better than tht

Yeah an expensive mistake..I did some googling and saw my manifold design on eBay! It costs about £118...I wonder if he ordered that instead of actually making it...but I got charged 2k...

Anyway guys, pls recommended a good manifold fabricator...Much appreciated...

i guess 2k i have no complains
a correct BOT , correctly done fully should cost atleast 4k ,
u get wht u paid for bro

2k was just for the manifold alone. In total i paid 4k, yes, including downpipe, piping, IC, BOV. Yes, so I definitely did not get what I paid for...

ops , then its expensive hehe
but 6cylinder good manifolds are at tht range actually , mind posting some pics ? :)
tonkka 6 cynlinder is the 2k range

Happy New Year guys. I suspect Dpro bought my manifold off eBay. There is one design that is exactly the same. I remember he said, when the manifold arrived, that it didn't quite fit properly, and he had to send it back for adjustments.

here is the link to the ebay seller:

Harith, regarding kweng, is he on the forum as "kweng84"?

The best and cheap way to increase boost is to attach a spring with the actuator to he housing side and one end to the actuator. Its the cheap way but not recommended as it is not accurate, the tighter the spring you will have more boost :P

I checked with tonnka, they said they don't make the manifold for my engine. Also, kweng looks like they are mainly specialised on NA piping. So I guess it's back to the tried and tested AH Exhaust in USJ 1...I think they've changed their name now.

Good stuff don't come cheap, and you'll have to wait like Subang rojak...

bro you try to call this guy..he's the backbone of JFA exhaust before this.

I finally replaced the crappy manifold from D'Pro. Turns out it is using really cheap and thin metal, no wonder the blardy thing started to crack and leak after a week.

Best thing is Mr D'Pro Jeffrey blamed my tuning, and kept giving excuses how incredibly busy he was, no time to entertain me. Well he may have made some easy money from me, but his short sightedness will be his own undoing one day.

here are some pix of the ebay manifold he bought, which he claims he fabricated himself...stinking liar...it has been welded 3 times, and it kept cracking...goes to show what "high quality" products come out of D'Pro's Shoppe.

If 2k for manifold its should be made from 304 thicker s.steel sir...i also use 304 and never use the thin s.steel for manifold...and i dont think manifold u use now is same like the ebays...its totally different..,flange,runner,finishing..:hmmmm:

its a lousy job looking from the pix jer, i suggest ijal exhaust highly for this kinda work
