So, what is happening to Bolihland. G mentioned cut tax, lower this, lower that, subsides this and that, but things getting more expensive.
As far as I know one of it, is the minimum wages of RM900. Yes, it helps the real lower income but affect the rest. Business owner have to cover their overhead so increase price.
Heard from small town because of this minimum wages, some even lost their job. Why? for example, a shopkeeper hires 3 staffs at RM600, just help around, look after customer and shop. Well, RM600 in small town is like that. Now have to pay RM900, so owner sack one staff to pay the other two.....:hmmmm:
yes bro . it is really happening . im working in a public listed company . rumoured to be one of the best machining house in malaysia. total manpower 2.6k . when G announced minimum wages , this is what happened .
Before the announcement
a) Foreigner Basic Salary was RM 650 .
whereby there are entitled to - i)Transportation Free
ii) Accommodation Free (inclusive water and electric)
iii) Normal OT - 1.5 , Sunday 2.0 , Public - 3.0 (for locals too whos
basic below 1.5k)
iv) Food allowance and Attendence allowance - RM 100
v) Shift allowance - RM 8 per day for night shift
iv) Levy paid by company .
After the the announcement
b) Foreigner Basic Salary was RM900
i) Tranportation have to pay on their own- RM 90
ii) Accommodation Fees - RM 50
iii) Levy have to pay on their own (Min RM 120)
iv ) No food allowance,attendence allowance,and shift allowance.
v) OT is capped at 1.0 for those basic up to 2k.
vi) Public holiday is 1.5 for OT
So whos winning the game now ? Even locals who are low basic are effected with this. Our G dont really bother about anything la.. dunno what is inside their head , brains or lump of S*it
