Anyone heard about Vsafe Energy??

Either I misunderstood or I see a flaw in your test. Anyway, ok I'll check with the manufacturer to see how many samples he's willing to give me. If more I'll test with my other standard cars.

It is no suprise if there are flaws in my test...it is just a very ordinary test that every ordinary people would do. The result is all by feeling and general readings.

Dont make us remind you. That's why you are here :rofl::rofl: and we always stalk your DIY and Test threads LOL

No need pm la haha I'll write it here.. Well frankly speaking I don't know what type of catalyst the Hercules is. Whether it is an octane booster or just some other catalyst, I'm not sure. So as an ordinary user with an ordinary mindset towards the product, driving an ordinary car doing an ordinary test, it came out nothing special.

I'm not too sure if myvi has self adjusting timing ignition or not...since it has DVVT, Toyota/Daihatsu might included this features as well. Frankly speaking, I don't know if myvi has knock sensor or not wahahaha..still learning.

The test I did isn't a thorough one...just an ordinary test many ordinary consumer would do:

1. Drive to petrol station, switched off engine, open the fuel cap...
2. Inserted one tablet of Hercules, then pumped full tank. (40L) tank. Then reset every readings.
3. Drive as usual...to work, to basketball court, to here and there. Mostly in city.
4. Habis fuel, see what's the reading it gave. That's it.

There were some times when I'm stationary with my car engine on. But even if it helps, it's very very minor which is almost negligible (at least to me). I recorded the readings with the on board meter...14.5km/l. I know the reading is not accurate than calculating the consumption ourselves but the calibration is the same with and without using Hercules so that offset the doubt of the meter.

So all depends on your test :biggrin::biggrin:

Sometimes you may need to test a few tanks to see any difference. As you mentioned your car ECU may be calculating and changing.
When I was testing the Ron95 in my VR, I only started to have major problem from the 3rd tank...:hmmmm:

Yup, Bro. Izso, We are still awaiting your test......:adore:

3rd tank?? That's just weird. Mine starts to kick in 100km later give or take (the self adjusting).

And Saturday is just around the corner! I can't wait to get this putrid 20W50 out of her system. Anyone game for a dyno-TT? Hehehe. Drinks on me again!

Yup, from Ron 97 to Ron 95, 1st tank switch, probably got a little Ron 97 left over did not affect much, 2nd tank felt a little hesitation at mid end, then on 3rd tank cannot rev above 4.5k rpm....
Even switching back to Ron 97 took 3 tanks for it to adjust back......:hmmmm:

Where are you getting it dyno? This Saturday probably not free as got go for "Ching Ming".
Let me know the place and time, and if got time will pop by....

If I go it'll be Sunday. But I'm not sure if GTAuto is open on Sunday.

Ah crap. Thomas just confirmed they aren't open sundays. Looks like I'll have to postpone to next week then.

Btw, for anyone who wants to ask why GTAuto and why not a DynoDynamics machine like the one found in Under5 cuz it's 'more accurate' etc etc, I'm only going back to GT because they already have the base figures for my car pre-manual mod and all. So I want to go there for comparison sake only. Not for accuracy or whatever. I know there's a difference of 20% to 30% with a Dynodnamics machine.

Better to keep to one machine then reading more accurate. How often they calibrate their Dyno?

Hmmm.. I thought one tablet of Hercules only for 25L of petrol?? Should have put 2 tablets for 40L =) Past, I also have the same problem as you after 1st time of testing, Not much different. I did contact the manufacturer about it , They ask me continue use the product for another 3-4 times. The extra mileage seems to seeable. Till now.. I'm able to get extra 30-40KM every tank . Previously always at 310KM and now around 360kM.. The company is a biotech company. Product should have included bacteria or enzyme?? I guess?? as previously they told me, needed time to clear the carbon in the fuel tanks.

The company was a biotech company. Was, as in closed down or change from being a biotech company or just wrong grammar?

Carbon in fuel tank? I think you mean carbon in combustion chamber...

Yup, to be fair I still think 3 tanks of testing. Sometimes cannot be felt immediately

OOpps.. Wrong Grammar! is IS . Yup , Combustion chamber ! Sorry for being noob :adore:

OK! I finally got the sample of the Vsafe Power BOOSTER

http://www.vsafeenergy.com/petrol.html

Unfortunately my tank is full so will try it out only after I empty this tank. I've added a fuel cleaner additive from Bluechem to make sure there are zero to almost no residue or gunk or whatever in my tank. The instructions for this power booster is to pour it in before filling up so I'm going to do exactly that. It's supposed to treat 1ml for every 1L of petrol I pump in. The bottle contains 120ml so that's plenty for my tiny 40L tank.

The claims are :
INSTANT INCREASE IN 2 MINS:
Engine response, Horse power, Torque

Maximum potency for the ultimate driving experience
  • Increases power output by
  • up to 30%
  • Complete combustion
  • Clean engine = Reduce Emission

Complete combustion I get it, additives to complete the combustion cycle. The power and torque increase I can only assume it's an octane improver? I'm questioning the manufacturer in my email what it supposedly does so I can explain it better when I post a writeup.

Any update on test results? Thanks!

Almost done. This is a really long test because each tank takes me 2 weeks to empty and I'm testing two tanks of petrol with the product (actually I'm on the 3rd tank already with the product, one more to go) and another two more tanks without the product for comparisons sake. Also I'll need to allocate some time on the 4th tank with product to go for a dyno. I've already done the pre-test dyno run.

The butt-feel results for the product have been very very positive. Ideally I'd like a turbo charged car to help do the test but I haven't had the time to look for volunteers.

Latest FC reading for my car was 14km/L with heavy footed driving, that's pretty impressive!

not bad. how about d "up to 30%" thing?

I've only been given the power booster sample.

I think test results will only conclude after I do a dyno which earliest would be mid July.

Just an FYI btw, i'm doing a very simple comparison with other brands just for comparison.
