Buying advice for Evo and Impreza

Yup, learn to crawl, walk, run, then only run fast.......hhahhahahahhahahhahah:rofl:

That means can't straight jump from my current car to WRX STI in future. But won't it cost even more money to change cars one by one?

If talk about changing cars then yes, but now talking about driving and control.

I got a friend test RWD with LSD, he took speedy corner and crash into a parked car, and he is not newbie but newbie to RWD with LSD.....lol:rofl:

I guess even with high performance cars, one should not take risk and proceed too quickly in pushing the car to its limits. Take things slowly and learn more about the car's behaviour should be the better way?

Yes, especially when going from a FWD to a RWD car then the RWD also a lot more powerful than the previous FWD. There were few cases of Mark X, especially the non VSC/TRC version, got destroyed due to the new owners not used to it yet but corner too fast then spun.

Yes must do that with any newly owned car, get used to it first and start gradually, don't go ballistic right away. Even pro driver still take some time to familiarize before pushing.

Would be best if you stay within the kind of speed limit that you put on your previous car, assuming your new car is superior than the previous one.

Not only whether high performance or not? The handling, braking differs from one car to another, so need to be familiar with it before driving any faster

I agree. Sometimes, even same models have slight variations in driving feel. Other than my Wira, I have driven another Wira 1.5 VDO manual. It does feel slightly different from mine.

All my cars have different seating, brakes, power, handling etc. etc...........:driver:

Not necessarily true as well. If you go hard on the gas of a decent power RWD then can spin you even if you are actually going at about the same speed as a FWD.

That is why I prefer aiming for 4WD cars which I believe it combines the best of both worlds.

Yes AWD has more grip to put the power down to the ground that's why I also want it for my next car!

Larger safety net with the help of 4WD. Downside would be higher fc, but since it is a performance car, might as well don't bother to skimp on petrol bill.
