Pros and cons of engine braking?

Sometimes out of alignment but still learning things ok mah......

Mentioned already runflats are hard and bumpy, and even if same model with normal model, traction is less. I am surprised his runflats got bugle...:bawling:

One question, since your friend was on runflats, means he got no spare tyre, now change to normal tyres, what is his counter measure if got puncture?:hmmmm:

Out of alignment is okay for the thread participants but it will be a lot of confusion for those who came in later to read. Need reread from start. Now we are also going out of alignment again, hahaha.

Is it very hard to make a run flat bulge? Not sure he got spare tyre or not, maybe I should ask him about it when I see him on CNY. I met him 2 days ago.

Not to say hard but runflat suppose to have harder and stronger carcass. If his car came with runflats there is no spare tyre. My friend's Beemer same, so now he carry repair kit and pump

But does the car have a compartment for spare tyre? If got, maybe I can suggest him to put one there. Then again, if tyre went flat, maybe he can call for some kind of road assistance service from insurance or BMW?

Probably can, but Insurance usually is towing service.

Not a car guy, not in forum nor fb club, totally blur like that.....:smokin:

He is not a serious car guy but he does have interest in cars. He knows enough to understand the basics behind how an engine operates and some other basic technical stuff in cars. Well, actually it was this friend who got me into this car craze during my form 5 years. He bought a Pajero Sport early of the year that time and he was always talking about cars in class. I always joined him. Later on, I went more deep and crazy about cars than he is.

Student went too crazy. Well, after that, he got more interested in investment stuff especially in stock market until now. I probably need to learn something about investment from him as a student again.

This one probably can't. Need a lot of capital for investment. He got quite a big amount to start with, so his returns is also quite a lot.

Braking at buying shares is knowing when to pull back and sell.

There, you already learn something already.......hhahahhahaha:rofl:

Logical, hahaha. But din't learn this from him. Hold too long, later value drop, sell at loss. I can actually ask my aunt at home about this. She works as a remisier.

Update.

After trying heel toe for almost 2 months, I have gotten more familiar to it now. Able to brake smoothly like normal while at the same time jabbing the throttle pedal on my heel. Now, it has almost become a natural reaction for me to do whenever I brake and downshift.

Once again, thanks a lot for your guidance and help earlier, Tom. Same goes for others like 6UE5T for their tips and advice. Couldn't have done it without you all.

Any suggestion on how should I record the video? I don't have a GoPro or any specific camera holder to place it in my car.

It might look a bit funny if I recorded it. My feet movements were not as smooth and fluid as those found in your video. Although I can do it, they are not 100% perfect all the time. Pardon me for this.

But nowadays, most newbies drives auto dy.......:smokin:

i occasionally remind myself to do it. :smokin:

This is a bit tricky during start because you will often forget about doing it.

Hahahaha, true. If driving cars with double clutch gearbox like R35, I think the engine will rev match for them automatically during downshifts.
