Interesting year indeed with the release of the Goodyear F1 SS series and the new Hankook S1 Evo 3. Falken FK510 still seems to be the best value for money though.

What is your tyre size?

15 inch. currently using 195/50/R15
wondering if using 55/R15 slightly thicker will be more comfort ride.
FYI, i stay at PJ. Lots of potholes and bumps. I read CC6 is soft and good to cushion the bumps but too many it will puncture the tire because of soft sidewalls. Is that true?

Most use 55R15 for wira. CC6 is entry level, for comfort and durabilty. Not so easy to puncture unless you damage the sidewall, means sidewall getting cut when going into the pothole, or high speed going into the pothole.
Definitely 55R15 will be more comfortable than 50R15

Better use 195/55/15, more comfortable and more common size. Buy Hankook V12 Evo 2, the best value for money in that size and way much better than that crap CC6, only rm165-170/pc if in Klang Valley.

thinking of upsizing my tyre from 225/50-17 to 225/55-17

just not sure if my wheel-arch would fit or not..
