2.8K sounds like a good price for spraying inside/out. Does that include the engine bay and trunk? But why 7 layers? Where is this paint shop?0

Never heard of 7 layer spraying. Unless need primer, probably 2 layers of paint and a layer of clear coat.....

Not sure if you can layer clear coat over clear coat. Too much at one go also cannot , it will create runs

I watched on tv before the guys do wet sanding on the clear coat they apply before applying another layer of clear coat.

The finished job looks great. Then again, its a tv show so everything is great.

Yes. You better ask what brand paint and what type of paint going to be used. I once did a RM680 paint job and it looked good but damn it was so easy to chip off and lasted about 2 years before starting to fade

Heard of this before. My ex colleague cousin is a used car dealer in Ipoh. So he told me, they give quick cheap paint job, that looks good, but won't last......lol

I saw my friend did spray painting before. If slow dry CC, they dry to become smooth and clear. If fast dry CC, then they layer, wet sand and polish off to become smooth and clear....

BTW, Shop-2 @ Sri Damansara quoted 1.7k for spray outside... so called visible by eye area.

hehe... this is not a used car dealer shop. But not sure they do paint job for used car dealer. This is a shop at Sunway.

we were joking that shall NOT do glasurit... overkill... the paint job is more expensive than the car :-)

Cheap paint job, sometimes is the work. Do fast, paint or primer no time to really cure. So finished job may look good at first, but 6 months later, sandpaper marks may appear....
