Skunk2 Racing USA in Malaysia!!

Thanks Guys who came yesterday to buy some stuff..

Try to Post some pictures of the Skunk2 items when you get them installed.

the buyer is still figuring our a way to secure the item in its place so it wont be stolen easily...hehehehe....

haha...

It will be good if installation picture and instruction on "how to install" will be posted here as there is none from Skunk2. :)

I heard from my fren there are some fake Skunk2 products in the market now. Intake manifold is one of them. I got this info from Skunk2 website as well. http://www.skunk2.com/intakeComparo.pdf. Hope it will help u to differenciate them.

Sorry Chris, this is not to criticize ur product and I'm not saying u selling the fake thing. As a consumer, we should know this loh. Thanks.

I'm glad and very happy that you get this out but to clarify some point misuderstood by yourself.

There is no fake Skunk2 Intake manifold yet. You got it wrong. It is what they call CLONE products. Skunk2 is the original inventor or design many products and there are many brand/company who try to COPY or CLONE them with similar design and claim it has the same performance as Skunk2.

For your example of the file attach was to educate people that similar design to SKunk2 does not perform like skunk2 or quality is inferior to skunk2.

These CLONE / COPY product does not have Skunk2 brand on it and also does not come in SKUNK2 packaging!!!

It is a CLONE / COPY and not FAKE Skunk2 like you said!! So get your facts right and not post what you hear or think. Post with facts..

So guys, like sasuke pointed out, if you want the best performance and quality buy the original Skunk2 from the original distributor. Don't settle down with cheaper CLONES / COPY. hehe.. :_:

Thank you...

Abstract from Cambridge Dictionary:-

fake (OBJECT) Show phonetics
noun [C]
1 an object which is made to look real or valuable in order to deceive people:
Experts revealed that the painting was a fake.

clone Show phonetics
noun [C]
1 a plant or animal which has the same genes as the original from which it was produced

2 INFORMAL DISAPPROVING someone or something that looks very much like someone or something else:
Most people saw her as just another blond-haired, red-lipped Marilyn Monroe clone.

3 SPECIALIZED a computer that operates in a very similar way to the one that it was copied from

So the word CLONE as used by Skunk2 in the pdf file you attached means they are copies of the Original Skunk2 that is made to look very similar but does not perform the same and does not have the same high quality like the original inventor SKUNK2.

OK dude. U are the seller, that's why I want to make things clear. Thanks.

Abstract from my brain, only real/original and fake/clone/replica... 2 types only. :p j/k

Yeah.. I've seen it as well.. That's why you should get them from reputable places like chris.. less worries, as he needs to maintain his reputation for long term business survival.

Chris, good to hear that S2 parts are getting attention.. I've known them to make good stuff since the JDM craze began..

AEM/DC sports too, but some think the quality is not that good.. although for me, they're very on par with Japanese parts already for some of their parts lineup.

I think so.. I'm not sure if the increased volume in the manifold affects the vaccuum much, but in my head, I think that the increased plenum volume would result in different MAP sensor readings.

Exactly how much gain is anyone's guess, but the long runner design should provide some top end power.

Price very good one la for you.

It is best you can re-tune your car, as you might want to add a little fuel up the rev above 6k rpm and might need to bump ignition on non vtec map. This will maximise its potential on the Skunk2 intake.

From my customer feedback on a B18C-Type R, his power peak about 200-300rpm higher. Power definitely go up also from his feedback.

Someone has just order for a H22A. Hope it can come for him before SIC drag battle.

now aem out from my wishlist.... hehe

Actually if you want beefy fuel rails.. I'd say Golden Eagle..

The gray shot-peened version is very nice.. The normal silver one is not so...
I'll get a photo once I can get a chance to. A couple of guys here are using it.

The rails inner radius is 6AN if I'm not wrong.. no extreme volume, but bigger than the stock R, I think.. better check with chris to make sure.

You guys are not the only guys waiting to see the fuel rail. These Composite fuel rails are actually not for sale yet as Skunk2 is doing their final testing, reliability test etc. They promise us should be out for sale in the next one to two months. I already got 2 CONFIRMED buyer, 1 from KL and another from Penang. Both not ZTH member.

This Skunk2 Composite fuel rail is the 1st of its type. Its made using proprietary carbon impregnated aerospace thermo-polymer composite. :) Long name huh.. hehe.. This composite insulates the fuel from both radiant and underhood heat thus improving power (up to 3% claimed by Skunk2)

It has a big internal bore of 0.625" with radius inlet bore (which aluminum fuel rails have sharp angles internally) improving flow to injectors. Uses -8 AN end threads.

Furthermore, it is 43% lighter than stock (274g vs 479g) and 35% lighter than aftermarket billet rail (274g vs 425g)!!

Best of all, its engraved "SKUNK2 RACING" on the fuel rail. Hehe... Myself waiting to get one of these on my car too :)

Attach here pictures of the Skunk2 fuel Rail in a WORD file. For those who have not seen the catalogue yet.

Enjoy
