i become worried coz two of my friends' myvi stolen last 2 days...
any recommendation alarm system..??i heard about viper..how is it?ok?where to buy it in kl?how much..? sorry too much question...hope give the recommendation..

u can go for 2 way alarm or gsm car alarm...is affordable for u ...

u can add on viper modular systems ....means that u will use ur own C/lock system but add-ons viper functions .....

im looking at steelmate 3km 2 way alarm for my gf car...

2 way alarm is cheap now, best bang for bucks...

All those 2 way FM/AM radio alarm does not necessary have that advertised range. Bear that in mind.

I used to sell GSM 2-way car radio alarm (uses SIM card from Maxis or Digi), which have a better coverage including basement car park. You can immobilize the car just by a phone call. Or press the panic button and it will dial to 2 preset number eg friend or relative. Imagine you park your car very far away, someone open your car door, you will be notified immediately on your phone, even if the thief remove the car battery.

Now no more stock already.

I sold GSM 2 way car alarm around RM1K last time. You can find other seller, which cost from RM 2K - RM3K. It's a 1 time investment, if someone break into yr car and steal your ICE system or car, which is more expensive? The best about the GSM alarm is the range ( it is within mobile phone network).

is it gsm works that way?if i use viper the engine can stop within 45s when the car stolen rite...so which one better??

Just remember, GSM car alarm is about range. You will be notified by phone when your car is broken into, or you can disable your petrol pump or ignition just by a phone call (with password).

Majority of car alarm will just sound when thief break into the car (no one cares). If the thief is expert, he can disable any alarm system, including GSM car alarm. But GSM car alarm would have notify the owner already by that time.

Viper cannot do that. Hope this clarify your understanding.

that is the best for gsm car alarm...not enough time to remove ...least then 10 sec trigger will call owner d..

IMHO GSM car alarm advantage is its coverage, as long as there is GSM signal.
There are disadvantages also when you get into this situation: :afraid:
- No signal coverage
- Telco down
- Hp battery flat (no charger)
- SIM card subscription low/terminated
- Tendency to forget of the incoming urgent SMS msg or call from car alarm if u are on the hp talking.
- Waste of SMS usage to the car alarm as u will need to check everytime whether the alarm is OK or not as they are not able to show status display on the hp unless u SMS/call to it. :call:

Just my 2 cents.

Then don't park where there is no coverage loh. No alarm system is perfect, but gsm coverage is still the best so far.
