Hi all Honda gurus!

Wld like to seek you guys' opinion on the appropriate price to pay for a EK with the B16B engine. If they say fully converted to Type R, etc.
Is it worth to pay almost RM60K for a converted model? Say for example the EK was built in 1996. Now 2007, 9 years already.

Howzabt the price for an original EK9?

Anyone has any ideas? Where to find 1 huh? Any leads?
Looking at trading in my 2003 Kelisa and get me one of these babies!

Thanks.

...........provided if you can actually get your hands on an original EK9 (not convert one) in the 1st place .........

Exactly. I knoe, it's super tough. I don't think existing owners are willing to let go of theirs, and market value for pristine examples are rather high I'd imagine.
But... I'm SURE there has to be one somewhere in Malaysia, looking for a new owner. Eheh..
Actually, the convert ones pon I don't mind lah. As long as the hardware works well, converted ones are actually rather satisfying to drive.

But is that price quoted abv for a convert worth it or not? I found 1, but I don't know if I should go with it. Anyway, I still have to view that example first. Depending on the financing also, my outcome is still uncertain.

HAHAH!!! Whichever way, I'm shooting u a PM, like NOW, 2nd2none! All the dumbo questions..pls layan la. ehehe..

For that RM60k price, might as well u optioned for CF4 F20 DOHC Vtec Manual or auto. Year make should be 1997 also lah!.

if i'm not mistaken...i once saw a guy selling his ori EK9 type r for 80k....fuuiiyooo...really2 expensive...

sounds like something I'm getting. But is that the price ke, for the ori EK9? I suppose owners who sell to ppl can demand lah. Esp. for interested prospects like me, this is the price. "You want, take, dowan, done!" ahaha!

But that price ah? Aiyo. Must seriously reconsider. That's a very high price to pay. Feel like hope is lost...

Aiseh. I try B16A & B already la. Still insisting on a B16B equipped EK. Sorry brader. hehe..

HAHA! Like this ah, I think I go CONVERT pun CONVERT lah! But used car installments with finance are very high! eeeek!

That depends on how much I can get for my Kelisa Biru. Time to pay used car dealers a visit to see how much they can take this off me. Private sale susah sikit I think. This is an urgent disposal.

The thing is, I'm just too keen to join the Honda community. The Civic I have is more family oriented, I'm looking for a ride that I can really enjoy. hehehe... and the EK is the key. The other one got baby seat la, this and that la.. ;)

I'm going to see 1. Can I put up some minor details in case anyone knows some history of this car?
Now really contemplating.. shud I really go for it, or just maintain my blue kelisa??
Some people go through a mid-life crisis, but I face a crisis everyday!!

HAHA! I had a look at the thing jesnaw. Eh, ok la...
But is the EK9 gearbox supposed to have LSD ke? I asked, but he dono.
The engine is genuine B16B, recently overhauled.. shouldn't be a problem with that right?
Apa lagi ah? Eee, I dono. But it doesn't look bad to me!

must have lsd if ori b16b with ek9 gearbox. to ident, it will have the abbreviation LSD stamped in it. or else there's a barcode in white starts with s80 or is it s4c, other sifu plz enlighten on this.
