A fantastic pole to flag win was achieved again by Fariqe Hairuman in the Asian Touring Car Series today at the Asian Festival Of Speed held at Sepang International Circuit.

The Petronas Syntium Team driver raked in full points for his weekend in front of the home crowd, leaving his competitors behind him once again with a 12 second gap.

“It was a great outing and I’m really happy to be here again. Starting from sixth, I made my way up but George Ong put up a good fight for a few corners” said Hairuman at the Post Race Press Conference.

The driver has managed to gain his confidence and aims to win the championship at the end of the year.

Japanese driver Masaki Kano also had a great race, chalking up his first win in his second outing with the series “ It feels good to be here and I am happy to be able to get on the podium. I did not have such a good start but I managed to make my way to be here” said Kano.

The driver was on the charge and made the most of his chances, overtaking George Ong and Eric Yeo on the first corner on laps 10 and 18 respectively. The Hong Kong, Team IMSP driver clearly gained his advantage with daring late braking manoeuvres.
