JPJ Cracked Down on Tinted Glass

In today STAR paper..."PORT DICKSON: Existing rules on tinting of vehicles will be reviewed to make it easier for motorists to apply to increase tint levels.

Transport Minister Datuk Ong Tee Keat said he had directed the Road Transport Department to review the existing ruling so that people with a genuine need for a higher level of tint would not be penalised.
The ministry had also indefinitely deferred a planned nationwide crackdown on heavily tinted vehicles, he said."

At least we can go out again without worrying about the damn roadblocks:banghead:...for a while that is....

While I was in sgp few weeks back I notice most ppl there tint the rear door window and back glass only. Like in Japan. And apparently this is legal in Sgp.
Meaning....... rear is much darker than front.

I hope they consider allowing this so my little wans sitting behind can enjoy some privacy...:itsme:

Actually...... I also dont want to take out my privacy glass....

the ministry may defer it, but what of our wonderful law enforcers? will they continue to harass the public?

Good point. Well i guess Raya is round the block so it isnt safe to say that our cars will still be safe on the roads. Oh yeah.. and the malaysian system isnt effective at all.

They should look at the more developed countries. Howcome HID and tinting are allowed? and how come in Malaysia it isnt? Do they just wanna prove that they are different? or do they just want more excuses to earn more money.

Yo guys, for those whom frequent Trial Tuning or travel near Sg. Besi area be careful. Have notice JPJ roadblock specifically targeting heavily tinted cars. This is the second opts I’ve notice in 2 weeks, normally they start the roadblock about 5-7pm. Saw a couple of JDM cars with privacy glass stationed at the roadblock. Damn, those JPJ making my life a living hell, everyday have to keep an eye out for their opts.

Sg.Besi surrounding areas are few of the most popular spots for JPJ to open up a roadblock especially around evening time of 5.30pm till 9pm depending on traffic flow volume. For those who turn out heading towards Federal hiway from Trial Tuning in Sg.Besi, please be extra careful when u are about to turn left from the Besraya hiway leading out to the Connaught-MidValley route as usually these JPJ will be having their feast right after u turn left from Besraya hiway.

Another popular spot is where u are heading towards Sri Petaling from Kuchai Lama, usually the road beside the Esso station where JPJ will have their roadblocks almost 2-3 times a week. Those with heavily-tinted & handsomely looking HID cars will be their main course for the day. Appetizers are those small lorries or cars with loud mufflers & deserts are those ganas looking cars with nicely done bodykits where JPJ suspects that their engines are changed from original engines.

Just sharing what i saw during my observation for the past month as i'm staying in Desa Petaling & both of the routes are my regular ones that i took everyday.

puspakom will have a approved sticker on yur screen if u sent yur car for inspection. so far i saw v-kool pass.

aiks... i should tear off the sticker and stick it on my AS3 glasses when i swap them back in the shop...:smokin:

WTS: I got one set of ORIGINAL clear glass for altezza but without 1 of the triagle glass, any bro here interested....let go cheap cheap
