which halfcut to choose? gc8?

hello guys,

i have an audi a4 and i want to transplant an ej20. please dont discourage me or saying waste of money or anything like dat. i have been through all those but i still want to go ahead with the transplant since there is one mechanic that has done the same thing. i want to know which is the best halfcut to go with?


Question 1
i went to 1 shop and he quoted me gc8 wrx version 1 for rm3.5k. i am quite confused with how many horsepower does the gc8 wrx has. 205hp or 240hp? in wikipedia says the japanese wrx has 240hp but the UK wrx has 205hp.

Question 2
Which is best? gc8 wrx version 1 and add more money to get 300hp or just get the gc8 sti later version with 280hp? how about in terms of reliability and all? please take note that i will only have the engine to be locked to 2wd front wheel only-not 4 wheel drive

Question 3
How do i know which version that i will be buying if the halfcut doesnt have bodyparts on them? versions before version 7 looks almost the same.

check up the turbo.they have 2 size.td04 and td05.i think the td04 is 205hp.td05 is 240hp.last time my gc8 is td05.my friend have gc8 halfcut .rm3xxx.but i no know it is td04 or td05.coz the half cut put too high.i lazy to climbing up to c.call him if u interest.ah hua.012-3858208.

version1-6 not same bro......

saw 1 version6(if not mistaken) sti halfcut at puchong....veli good condition.

if u wanna get parts easily, get those version2 sti halfcut..its powerful enuf

u can owes upgrade to ball bearing (vf series) turbine...better response :)
