wow my god a real mercs cosworth.mhhh u dont see this eveyday free bump to u

Gotta say it's a very nice and neat rare car... :adore: Hope the next owner can keep it in great shape... Can't be loan anymore, can it? It's 20 years already, isn't it?

Forgot to add, its got cruise control as well, as it was fully specified when purchased by royalty back in 1989. Even the original fire extinguisher is still attached to the passenger seat bottom.

phew wit:driver::driver::driver:.....fantabulous mabelous gem....it's either a Cosworth or an e30 MPower......but.....tell me how the engine bay was kept this neat??:adore::adore::adore:

bro, pm me ur best price for this modern classic

thanks

saw the real thinggy nearby menara maybank kl and for the first time; the REAL looked better than on PICS....

192 horsepower in 1989 was about as good as it gets then. Of course these days, it will get smoked by the evos and skylines, but it can still hold its own among some of the n.a cars. At anything below 3000 rpm, it drives just like a regular taxicab 190E, but once it gets on cam, the engine hits its stride and winds up to redline quite easily while making a hairy chested induction noise.

This may be a dumb question but did these cars also come with auto trans from the factory. I always thought they were only available in manual.

nop it available on auto n manual, by da way its rated at 197hp or 202hp, n if AMG tuning tht will add another 47hp

Some corrections...

190Es are available in
- Inline 4 SOHC at 1.8litres, 2litre (1.978 etc) and 2.3litres
- Inline 6 SOHC at 2.6litres
- Cosworth DOHC with 2.3 and 2.5. The better one which all enthusiasts always says are the 2.3s 16v because it has higher compression. DTM uses 2.3 Cosworths until the EVOs came out.
- The rare ones are the EVO and EVO 2 which are in 2.5litre 16v but different than the non EVO. The EVOs have higher compression and higher rev. EVO2 have 235 hp while EVO has 204. Only in left hand drive form.
- AMG also made a 3.2litre SOHC, which is the stroked version of the 2.6 inline 6

Nassc,

Just to add to your fact about evos being rare and only built as left hand drives, there were only 502 units of EVO and 502 units of EVO2 built for homologation purposes, so most of the "evos" are dressed up 190Es unless of course you come across one which happens to be lhd, and has a gearshift knob engraved with "xxx/502" on it!

guys how about this one? clutch is damn hard, need sum high revving to really make it sing sum song but the power makes me smile!
