HKS F-Con iS on ER34. Worth it?

Ah yah Reintel, change the whole ECU to Power FC loh so that you don't have to worried about the wire and others components will work or not. The ECU you mentioned earlier on going to cost you around RM3,200.00 (if not mistaken), with little more $$ you can have a stand alone ECU and perform much better and a lot more than the piggyback! Best of all, more HP gained...

1 problem with Power FC, no one in KK in my knowledge has the capability to use and tune. If talking abt haltech & microtech, theres a few reputable mechanics i know can do.

Besides, i still wanna retain the use of ABS and airbag. Stand alone that i know donnot have that function unless using MOTEC. I dont adore going sideway or becum Angel (Wishing very very much!!!).... hehehe

Is your GTT manual or tiptronic? If I'm not mistaken, PowerFC does not work with automatic cars but if yours is a manual then disregard what I just said.

Anyways, if being able to tune yourself then best go with E-Manage since you've used it before so perhaps stick with what you're comfortable.

Actually if you can source the harness for the ER34 then I still have my F-Con iS which can let you have for cheap. In fact can even test it out first that way if you don't like it then you're not out of pocket at all. Can't help with harness though and I doubt anyone has lying around to lend out. You'd most likely need to buy it first but F-Con you're welcome to try it out no worries.

My GTT is manual. I wonder what would be ur price to let go the F-Con iS? I'm not confirm getting anything yet. Have to wait my little puny bonus! hehehe... But if the price is attractive, damn! i might have to reconsider it..

I'm pretty sure that the F-Con iS works with both manual and auto cars because latter versions had a function that dealt with proper mapping during automatic gear changes. Basically mimics how manual gear changes happen or something. I won't pretend to know cause it never was a concern of mine.

reintel - I suggest you talk to the local tuners there and find out who is able to tune the F-Con iS and then enquire about the harness. It should not cost much, just a wiring harness nothing else additional as opposed to standalones.

Nope, all the ABS and airbag will still function normally as before even you have put in stand alone ECU! Good example for you is 1 of the GTR had install stand alone ECU and his ABS is still function properly as before, and the other one is a 350Z also installed stand alone ECU and its airbag also function properly, yes, you are reading it correctly caused that dude got into accident and the airbag did pop out like normal!
As for tuner, there are 2 that I know off that are capable to tune Power FC as I saw them did it before. Both of the cars had shown good acceleration and torque dyno graph had also shown over 600ps on wheels (that's depend on performance parts also)!
