Posting on behalf of my friend, he very much interested with the said model but rather confuse on my the said model's price was damn cheap circa RM14k ~ RM23k if search via mudah.my

All he wanted to know is
  1. Easy to get parts? from engines to exterior/interior related parts
  2. maintenance?
  3. reliability?

Since I'm not a Honda owner :stupid: , need Hondarian's help on this :banghead:

Thanks to all feedback

No offence, but the honda legend is one of the most fail Hondas ever... didnt do very well overseas.

Nothing much about it so yeah~~

gearbox issues!

the J32a is a gem of a motor, but i cant say the same for the autotragic gearbox.

unless you can source a type-II 6-speed transmission from the states.

and dont even bother about fuel consumption.

Anyone can help this gentleman?
Thanks bro

the car is cheap but the roadtax isnt!

my friend is well aware of the roadtax issue.. he does not care about the road tax.. just he like the honda legend looks and big V6 looks promising to him...

My friend does not concerned about fuel consumption since he owned a Merc SL500 before... just like a nice big car with a big capacity.... he just wanna 'tukar angin' from euro to jap... thanks for the gearbox info... izzit easy to source for the said Type-II gearbox?

thanks all for the feedback.... more are welcome... already relay to my friend the info given

The manual 6-speed type-II J32a was only available in the States in Coupe form.

My dad used to owned one from 1997 to 2001 (a used 1993 model when bought). Engine was whisper quiet but once hit above 4000rpm, the V6 ROAR is there (can be addictive). Gearbox is ULTRA SMOOTH, Jerk free.

This is a FAST(ish) car, 0-100km/h in 8.6 seconds only (Not bad for a 4 speed automatic 1993 car) and top speed 225km/h! Oh! The engine layout is special (ala Audi A6) FWD Yet Vertical layout to ensure 50:50 weight distribution.

FC is around 30 cents/km!

Since your friend DON'T Mind the exorbitant roadtax, by all means go get one. Get a CBU FULL SPEC ones with Sunroof, Leather, Elec adj memory front seats, climate control, Dual Airbags and ABS. NOT the CKD Kah Motor "KOSONG" version.

It's still a VERY HANDSOME CAR till now.
