Not a car-related crime, but serious all the same. Just passing the word around.

I have just received an SMS alert from a friend about two Indian guys dressed in TNB uniform visiting homes and telling the residents that there is an 'electrical fault' within their houses. When the home-owners let the two 'TNB' guys inside, they get robbed.

As far as I know, TNB do not visit your home unless you reported an electrical fault to their breakdown hotline.

So please be careful.

Bro,

As I know that, TNB only responsible from outside ---> Our House Meter ONLY. Wiring inside TOTALLY NOT under their Responsibility. Is it Under Contractor @ House Owner. If they want to check is under Ikhsan theirs @ permission of the owner.

This want maybe happened to the place where no security Guard at the entrance of the house / Taman.

If they manage to rob u, dont melawan because their already prepared to do that. Just give what they want.

Watch Out Guys.

Regards

Yes that's correct. The in-house wires are not within TNB's responsibility.

For that, you will need to hire a private contractor wireman to fix.

About the only instance that I am aware where TNB personnel will enter your premises is when you report a fault relating to the home's main connection to their power grid....in other words the main wiring juntion box that connects the meter to the TNB grid.

My home once had a dangerous meltdown short circuit of this connection and TNB were called in to fix the problem.....but in any case TNB will only respond after a homeowner made a call to their breakdown hotline.

There is no way TNB will send personnel to your homes un-announced.

Bro F,

Correct & True.
Sometime, the operator will call u again after the Emergency response team fix to record down the downtime. You also can call back the operator to ask the emergency Team the location. Normally they will come by Van @ Small Lorry, maks 3 person, normally 2 person with TNB Uniform & Vehicle also Have TNB Sign.

This is to identify the TNB Team. Other Than That ...............

Regards
