OMG i cant believe that car is built by China Brilliance. It does look stunning. Powered by mitsu 2.0 4g63 and 2.4 4g64 engines. Maybe not in the same league as Lexus or BMW and Merc but if it is sold here in Malaysia i would prefer that to the perdana any day.

If this is the future of Chinese cars, Proton... be afraid... be very very afraid...

exterior looks ok for me. Will need to check on the QC and reliability.

Proton... wish you good luck. It is just a matter of time china brand will be better than Proton, and one of them is in the discussion with Malaysia goverment to setup the production line in Malayisa

the lights are like beemer or opel nabira style lids. The grills is like rover.
The sidemirrors and bumpers looks like merc-style.
Rear emblem position is like toyota.
Everything else looks original.

Anyway, exterior looks very exciting. Interior... well.. looks less exciting.
Still, QC and reliability would be an issue. But then again, hey.. hyundai can get it better in a year.

bmw + audi + honda + toyota + rover = PROTON

Yeah!! ;p

Cheer

The important is how much that the car will cost when arrived at Malaysia pass all those stupid DUTIES and TAXES by government?

Government sure tax this car 9 9. Last time, they had to do it because Korean cars are killing Proton's monopoly.

That also explains why Kia Spectra selling price (was at RM 68k) was raised to RM 74k.

At RM 68k for a CBU n better specs than the Waja, which would u choose? Even at RM 74k, it is still very attractive but now is CKD la.

but u guys need to know..korean or chinese car imported here will be recognised as `sejuk`cars...value to buy..but reseliing??too many drops...look like KIA n Chevrolet...proton still maintain 2nd hand value than perodua..=)...

my 0.05 cents... =)

you are right to some point, but do note that there are people who buy the car and use it until its only worthy to be sold as scrap metal, or in another word, never sell it.

i do like this new chinese car tho.. i mean, its like the first china car that i actualy would say "not bad at all"...

exterior is cool, but the dashboard is abit old fashioned...

i wonder if mitsu can survive longer if they earn money by supplying china with thier engine. i mean its all good right? value for money china car for us, income for both china car manufacturer and mitsubishi :D

Recipe for china cars:

1) take BMW design cue
2) take MG rover grill
3) take altis rear lights
4) scrap here and tehre on other cars
5) throw into melting pot
6) shake container
7) pray
8) pour out and see what you've got

well china ppl sure does know how to rojak all the models together...hehe

ok... rojak or not... the bottom line is to produce a good looking and reliable car. Would u wanna throw your money for a car that have hints of rojak'ing but looks good and reliable(assuming) or for a "FULLY LOCALLY MADE" car that looks like FUCK and not to mention blardy over priced spare parts... have a nice day~

Because old Proton cars can still get loans from banks!!!
Because Proton is owned by the Malaysia!!!
