maybe the dc 5 is a track car. so he can drive aggresively. In turn 9, he cut inside line, i have to let him go because im afraid my car bang by him.. hehe :)

Emm..... i guess that skyline with black TE37 rims are GTT lah.... RB25 NEO under its hood.... i ca nsay got 2 GTT and 2 GTR only on that day !

Which looks and perform like a gtr is the black skyline. I can't really tell if there others were gtt or gtr.

Heard the green one is also a gtt with r body convert. Anyone knows the gold one?

I won't say all skylines are noobs, but a few was really slow. There was one dicing with a Waja, while I was behind them in T5. But he was kind (or slow) enough to let me pass exiting T6

Well some 'noobs' are there to get a feel of the track-whereas some 'noobs' go all out to chase other high powered cars(whatever are they thinking?)

Yes, I know with the "tv" thingy .... Somehow, some I am quite skeptical with the engine note and performance of the car ... I know, some gtt's had been converted to gtr-widebody, and RB26 hence with the loom and "tv" as well ... Some people do spend BIG money converting their gtt's to exact gtr's ... of course, minus the atessa 4wd which involve cutting and knocking the chassis tunnel ...


Anyway, I won't look down at some of the big-guns slower times. If I am in a skyline, and with all the others fighting for one corners, I would back-off myself ... No point turning a fun day, into a workshop and panel-beater massacre ... hehe ...

Pointless really .My car is below 150whp, and I was lapping faster than some with double my horsepower.

Backing off and letting others through is all fine and good.

What's bad is those who do not know the correct lines and braking points, endangering themselves and others. On Sunday alone I lost count of how many cars that braked HARD at entry to T12, a mistake only a noob would make.

HUH???? Most of us were on street tires . What's that gotta do with bad driving. If a driver blames his equipment for bad circuit dicipline, he /she got no business driving on track la.

Approaching speeds into T12 are in 3 figures, so a noobie brakes HARD with others behind just lifting off, or maybe light braking, an accident may happen

Don't get me wrong. I applaud all the performance car owners who attend track days, they are several classes above those idiots who blast their cars doing midnight runs or wangan or wateva on Public Roads.

But some common sense is needed on track. If you are a noobie, get guidance from a regular trackie. Or Attend those trackdays that seperate noobies & experts. Or attend trackdays with instructors like HPC, so can learn .

ya... Talking about the HPC when they will hv it again?? As some of my friends I also ask them to join this event. A good place for us to learn as a strating point.

As for T12 I always go slow.... unless there is not cars in T13 to T14.

last time 1 2 yrs back track day, can always learn with ease.....for high speed corners can easily pick up the tips....nowadays its almost impossible to even drive in ease....u see cars road hogging on racing lines....forcing experienced drivers to do the impossible to swing around......i thought the plan was to contain max 150 cars....i think its still more than dat...n for goodness sake....why r there so many cars parking behind the pitstops ?

i agree w dis as well...coz i was once knocked by a track SGTi.....d fella din even bother 2 apologize until i chased him back 2 d pits n confronted him....thn only he 1na say sorry,but dat oso like he doesnt' mean it......n d BEST part?dis fella goes 2 d same workshop as i do...twisted d whole story n say i was d 1 who knock into him.....i haven't fix d dent on my car yet....so every1 dat saw d dent n whn i told them d story how it happened..everybody understood dat i was d victim.....

2 get knock by sum bozo is bad enuff.....get bad mouthed by d same bozo..even worst!

n just finished watching jdmsupplies' video..dat GTR/GTT really asking 4 trouble ler cutting across d lane like dat approaching T12?!!!

Really enjoyed the Pics and Videos Fellas :) although some moves being done by other drivers made me very nervous as this was a mix of experienced, intermediate and Beginner Drivers

I got a suggestion,

Here is what we do in the U.S. for open Club track days at Willow Springs or Buttonwillow Raceway.

1. We group the Beginners, Intermediates and Advanced Drivers
2. on the 1st session of the day for the Beginners we pair them up with Advanced Drivers who...
a. drive and instruct while beginner rides shotgun
b. then let the beginner drive while they instruct them
c. Beginner can not run at the track unless he/she gets the OK/thumbs up from the Advanced driver to be able to handle himself and the car on the track driving solo
3. So we Have 3 Run Groups based on Beginners, Intermediates (people who have had at least 5 track days) and ADvanced Drivers (semi pro and pro drivers with either a competition license or who have attended and passed HPDE classes for competition)
4. Sessions are 20 or 30 Minutes per Session at 5 Sessions for each run Group per Day.
5. anyone who gets black flagged or ignores ...example a Caution Flag Yellow will get called back in the pits and get a nice talk with the track Officials

Beginners:
a. can only pass when signalled by a hand signal/wave from the driver being passed (Gentleman's race) Driver must admit that the car behind him/her is too fast and will need to give in to a pass
b. can only pass on straightaways
c. driver being passed must move to his left
d. Faster driver can only pass to the right

Just my 2 cents Gentlemen - hope this will contribute towards a SAFER track day for all you guys.
