4AGE Jerking

Hi everyones,

I got a prob with my Blue Black Top 4A-GE. Its start jerking now. No mod inside the engine. Just using used HKS air intake, OEM ekz manifold with custom down pipe with 2" pipe, Merz BOSCH big external fuel pump. I have replace the OEM fuel filter, NGK G power plugs, Brisks plug wire. At its still jerking. What should I do?

may i know how is the jerking like? mine also the same but minor jerk during acceleration and deceleration, after dat smooth. just when tekan and release gas pedal the time the car jerk. mine is stock too, t-vis gt engine. my foreman said its coz by the throttle body as mine is really koyak. hard luck looking for replacement. maybe u wanna have urs check.

Have you checked your TPS? Could have gone out of position.

Trottle Position Sensor. It's located on the trottle body.

Have you checked ur engine mounts?

Maybe ur car so too much torque??? :P- just kidding

Maybe your TB dirty, need service or your TPS sensor 'kong'. Last time happened to me. Mine 4AFE dunno bout 4AGE. Cheers..

can u be specific on when your car jerks? have u check with
ksm?

throttle sensor checked liau, no problem. so, guess its either the throttle body with those valves together with the body itself coz as i said mine really koyak. could be mounting also. damm ma fan ah, so many problems.

jerks happened when...??
i) during acceleration
ii) after realease the paddle
iii) during idling
iv) during maintain rev, the suddenly it jerks...

There is a possiblity that your Blacktop is running on high pressure fuel feed (higher than normal). Sometimes the standard Fuel Regulator will have it's spring hardened and this will induce high pressure.

mine jerk the moment u step on gas pedal and release gas pedal. any idea wats the cause??

possibilty too...
i) clog fuel filter...but u hv changed it...
ii) try what EFN told on above post
iii) just try to check ur cable plug...see any power leakage or not
