4G91 Gang..

spotted partyJOE ... yesterday stuck at traffic jam yesterday near traffic light before shangri-la hotel ... but just thinking got 2 person in ya car .. whos that tailo?

ha ha ha .. wirafly tailo .. every night i go kl ... partyjoe know laa what im doing on night time ... ha ha ha .. but this is first time i spot his car ... he cannot spot me because im riding my ex-5... i cilok dia dari tepi and hon twice .. hahahahah..:shcokedcamo: my ex-5 can tapau partyJOE ride easy as abc ... and i alreaddy tapau ferrarri f575 also with my ex-5 (on that area only traffic jam:biggrin:)... EX-5 THE KING OF KL TOWN
 
Sorry that not much i can explain on what he did coz the mech kinda ego & do not like any1 watching him when work, he politely request me & my fren go to yumcha & come back after an hour.

But i'm worry oso la, later he change smt so i'm just watch from far & c whether he take out smt. At 1st when i reach, he try to press my oil pedal & rev for few time then he said my car did have power loss & after setting definately can few much diff.

2nd, he drive my car out & try to go uphill, he claimed he is testing my car performance b4 do anything, then he come back & adjust timing belt & cluth.
then he test drive again. Same thing in & out for few times. I can c he adjusted the tappet oso.

finally he ask me to hop in the car & he drive, while driving he explain to me why i feel loss power b4 & ask me to feel whether any diff when go uphill, take over others car when go uphill without changing gear.

At last he ask me to drive myself coz he do not know whether this is suit my driving style. 1st thing i feel most is my oil pedal seems responsive very fast, not like last week when i test my car at another mech shop, rpm respond really slow after press oil. Then i try revving, 4th gear go up hill & not changing gear after brake while travel uphill, take over ppl & "tiong" others cars.
 
At 1st, I also suspect the mech whether he can do what he promise. As he said no diff feel no need to pay. He also quote if I can find any1 can do what he did & charge less than him, just go ahead. What he do is nothing to do with the ECU, he only expert in looking back with all those power lost no where when we modified or changing or replace parts.

He said new car also will got power loss, so what he do is not modification, just search back the original potencial of the engine. Anyway, no bad effect on FC, its even better than ever. What u guys think?

Hmm, so long didnt post in here oledi.. havent had the chance to post actually.. ive started at my new company since 7th Sept and been missing (from this thread) since then.. was stationed at my new HQ at Wisma Chase Perdana (nearby CIMB where recently got case of car plonged down parking), I'm sitting in front of GM, takkan trainee wanna play forum pulak.. :_:

I have been outstation at Kemaman for my OJT since early this week.. wah.. really miss my car and this thread ler.. but now have to work 7 days a week for one month.. donno my boss will let me celebrate raya or not but hopefully he is kind enough to let me lah as previously Trainee (and even Backup Engineer) also not easy to get chance to raya at home ler..

Anyway, hope u guys continue to make this thread going.. have to rely on Partyjoe on this ler.. I might not be able to join the Dyno session as i might be sent to Labuan After Raya.. no chance to even care for my car..:cry_smile: .. C U guys later lah.. Chiaw..

Dear All 4G91 Sifu, newbie here with 4G91 injection version in wira sedan, I have transplant my engine since 2002 but until recently I face makan engine oil problem (All the time use same Q8 oil, change every 4000km, sigh), my foreman advice me get a 4G93 engine lantai transplant on it, here the details on the conversion

1. 4G93 Engine Head, CAM , Block, Crank, Intake Manifold and TB.
2. 4G92 Piston
3. Injector from 4G93, if not mistaken 240cc
4. Radiator from GSR (any different from 4G93NA?)

But my foreman told me no need change ECU, use back my 4G91 ECU enuf :shocked: , is it?

Any sifu here or sifu's friend try similar upgrade? what other thing have to change? how the car will response on this configuration? or whether my foreman hide from me some hidden cost on this transplant (Those part need to change but did not mentioned from the list?)

He quote me RM2500 on this conversion, is this price reasonable? sorry all sifu, I really know nothing on car mod, have to get advice from sifu here

2.5k seem ok.. but how abt yr JPJ registration... did he mention anythg on dat...
 
mayb go machine shop cover the 4G93 engine number n then do back the 4G91 engine number on it??
like dat then no need to go inspection d la...coz engine number still the same....
but then there's still risk if the car kene tarik balik n they pour chemical on it...

well...this is wat my mech suggested to me if i wanna put 4G93....heehee
coz my car ori is 1.3 onli...

calvin9683 sifu, is it means after they pour chemical on it the number will gone?

go thru another round of inspection really headache, if can do it safely I wont go inspection again

I think some thing most be done to ur fuel mapping.. even change injector oledi, still mapping not compatible.. You should know the effect of running too lean right?? probably install piggyback ler.. top up like 1++k

tajulsans, :emoticon_U: , yes, that what I worry also, may I know can I install 4G93 Manual ECU on my 4G91? I am running on 4G91 Auto, from what I saw during last transplant, my car with 2 box, according to machanic, one is ECU, one is TCU, :retarded: , piggyback how much to install? I heard emanage better than Apexi AFC, may I know more detail on these? thank in advance, I really lack of knowledge on this :embaressed_smile:

Last time I do upgrading like u mention oni below 1.5k without blok n crankshaft or conrod.. I'm using 4g91 blok and rebore to dump 93 NA piston.. If u got 92 oso ok but 2 type of 92 piston from mivec doch and 1.6 soch.. Between 92 mivec and 93 NA piston is didn't much diff coz its high compression and never used the crank shaft as well inside 93 engine.. Then I'm using the intake manifold, TB, Injector and radiator from vr4.. Engine is vry good responses on first throttle till the end may result below 9 sec/100 kmh but not good for long distance unless using the 93 block coz the temperature will make ur engine kabomm and other thing is dont regret ur fuel consumption.. sure high marr..
My advise>> don't used metal gasket or skim ur head..

!!4g91!!, you 91 now is 1.6 already? how is your fuel comsuption?

I do ask my foreman to rebore my current block, but he advice me not to do so cause of reliability issue, other than that, he advice me get higher CC, which is 4G93 for my auto transmission, more torque which shud suppose give better response and fuel consumption....but then, for the price he quote I am worry later all those hidden cost come out, then I die la, just like mr tajul mention, I need a piggyback.... :confused_smile:

btw, ur 9s 0-100 is very fast man, my auto when I first transplant I go measure only touch 15s from 0-100....really slow, somemore I running on 13" rim.... auto really slow...but....I prefer drive auto :'(

if they pour chamical on the block...the ori number will surface...means the ori 4g93 block number...then dat time haitat lo....

but then i heard another forumer say before...
he say can skim the ori engine number until cannot be seen...
then onli do ur 4g91 engine number....
well...wat i was thinkin is dat...if skim...will it make the block thinner??
will this cause reliability prob??
