4G92 SOHC distributor

Is there any difference between these 2 distributors (both photos from 4G92 engine).

i think the top picture came from 4g93 (1.8) sohc engine...different wiring setup...or perhaps just differences between mdm/jdm and euro spec 4g92

The top one is similar to my car, 4G92P.. Satria 1996. Is there any performance difference between the two, or at least between mdm/jdm/euro spec? Or maybe unnoticeable difference..

To me no difference. If into performance then look at your coil instead...

What coil you mean? Ignition coil inside the engine, where the spark plugs are? Sorry, newbies

your satria body style with rear number plate on bonnet? or on bumper?


both my 95 satria use the below type distributor...

early jdm,mdm,euro spec got slight different in tuning and if not mistaken the camshaft spec as well...but just minor...not much

Oops, your model is not with external coil. If got distributor is not at spark plugs too. Should be in built. Bro. pomen should know better since he has the Satria.....

4g92sohc didnt have coil plug...its in the distributor...didnt really check what's inside since my stock car didnt have ignition problem for now...

My Hyundai is Mitsu base so using distributor some more same as Proton 8V ones with external coil, but coil is Hyundai design.
