air cond prob? any1 can help?

my new iswara got some sound coming frm d air cond :( , somethng like gas sound,
but cannot smell any strange smell, it only got when i switch on d air cond, when i off it, got no sound...
any1 can help? :lol:

:blink: does it loud? the sound comes while the compressor running?

Hie, proton cars do have this kind of noise where the refrigerant fluid travels through the pipes and created this sound. Even mine also got but not noticeable if you didn't concentrate and listen. :)

For a safer option, check for oil stains under your dashboard , try to look around. :)

notting to worry about the sound , the gas is been compress and then travels into an expension valve and that is why hear the noise , cause the expension valve its located at the cooling coil , below your dashboard .

agree with vestax.... as my sister car also got that sssssssss sound when you turn on the a/con. so far no problem with it.

well, not concerned abt d sound got harm or not la, but quite noisy mah, like shhhhhh sound!! :(

Maybe there is an expansion valve where the mechanic can adjust the amount of the gas flow. Might help to reduce some noise, but less cooling efficiency.
