my opinion is to recheck the chasis no, the registration and all the related document..If ok, the you proceed to ask the owner to bring to your mech to rectify the engine and etc, if the owner agreed lah..if not, bring your mech to see the car and ask his advise...

i dont think so the manufacture is 2001 cause mitsu and subaru will never mixed up with their chasis and manufacture.2001 is should be ct9a evo7.

@Jun : CT chassis came out on after half or 3rd quarter of 2001 I think, because the CE series - CM/CN/CJ/CK/CP chassis was on production from 97-01.
