whats the different of Fc Commander and haltech e8 model..?..if u guys goes for this two which one u go for...apexi or haltech..?

Difference

Bro,
I think the Apexi is a piggyback and the haltech is an EMS.....I think la...don't take my word for it.

whats the diff of a ems of piggy..??haltech can manage what piggy manage rite..?

If u guys are interested... there's a used Power FC for EVO available.. ;)

FC Commander is the handset for Power FC. Power FC is a standalone ECU. Plug n play. :)

Just a note:

Power FC is plug n play but is car based. Haltech is universal.

Hi,

Power FC is car based but it is stable than Haltech. Why i say this is bcoz normally haltech give a lot of headache to tune the car idling, but Power FC is just like normal ECU ( which mean all standard maps r provided ) so can just tune for ur performance instead of wasting time on idling or others map.

just my advice :)

PFC is a standalone ecu. Just remove original ecu and plug pfc you're ready to go. Its got a learning process that stabilises after a bit. What i like bout the PFC is that it reads from your existing sensors. Too lazy to sit down and reinstall new sensors. With proper software (available in English) you can tune real time every parameter including boost if you run Stock turbines. If you have aftermarket unit then just get the solenoid.
With that Said:

ANYBODY HAVE A PFC COMMANDER for sale ??

I need Commander Part Number : 415X001
Same as All Nissan Model except RB25DET 1998-2000model,All Honda Models,All Mitsubishi Model.

The software is called datalogit. You want to be very careful when you tune though. Go slow and tune out negative(-) cells on your fuel maps, turn on fans earlier, set knock sensors etc. What model do you have?

apex'i is a piggyback??? sure kah...

it is possible to buy the official Power Excel software now from Japan - package includes the junction box needed to hook up the PFC to your laptop. I wouldn't play with settings on my own though, I'd leave it to my tuner. If you are running PFC, get your tuner to buy the APEXi software if possible, if not, the hand controller will suffice (takes longer, certain features may not be accessible - mainly applies to PowerFC Pro models with the launch control and ignition cut rev limiter I believe..)

ps Datalogit is a 3rd party software from NZ.

I will ask around for you about the commander. But I believe the part no is not important. The most important is the software version in the PFC. There's one case one of the user had upgrade to newer software version of the PFC (ECU), the same commander using it's not working.

I heard it datalogit and I even email to them to ask them to give a lower amount in their invoice due to I might reduce the tax but they refuse to do it. I've told them I'll pay the exact amount but seems like they don't cooperate.

Apexi believe that the fans control should be at about 80 deg. C right? They believe at 80 deg C the engine can perform it best.

I have not personally used the Power Exel software but observed it used by local tuners. In my opinion the datalogit is much much more user friendly. You can basically tune everything and the added advantage is its all in English. It also allows you to tune 3D 20x20maps realtime.

If you have had no tuning experience or do not know how the ecu controls fueling and ignition timing then please do not play with the original maps. On the other hand you can still turn on the fans earlier, increase knock sensitivity etc easily.

We got ours in Singapore without any hassle. Check their website.

hi, my shop r using power exel to tune PFC, if u r interested plz call me at 0122139861 ( william from Trial Tuning ).
Other than that, we also tune haltech, e-manage, motec, f-con, freedom and of course SAFC with very reasonable price. We use NEKO A/F meter for tuning. TQ :)

ere're so Pro's and Con's

Pro's

Haltech

Higher resolution 24 x 32 map (768 data points)
More I/O than PFC
pre-defined load points
injector staging (which turns the secondary injectors ON at a user-configurable load point)
More Features (for those who wants to do drag racing)

Power FC

Excellent basemap
Easy to interchange injectors
user configurable load and rpm point
user configurable map sensor
Controls OMP (still debateable)
Easy split timing modification

CON's

Haltech

harder to create a basemap
E6K, A, S still uses dos format
Sensitive to trigger pickup
questionable timing accuracy

Power FC

Less resolution than Haltech
Limited adjustablilities on idle ignition/fuel map
No additional features (compared to haltech)
No additional I/O for other use (unless run with datalogit which from what I heard doesn't work too well)
