Who done this project before from Auto to manual, what is the cost and how different the power?
Yes, still remains as AWD. It's a lot of power gained. It has been dyno proven before. Same car with same hardware. Before and after transmission conversion, saw a jump of 50whp.
Anyway, I am not surprised. The original INVECS II is a lazy-box and final drive is really low. Just imagine, travelling at the speed of over 180kph, RPM is just 4K. With manual at that speed, we're expected to see around 5000rpm. With higher final drive for MT gearbox, you will gain much more acceleration and hp.
Coupe tht MT power loss is so much lesser than AT power loss.
bottom line is a nice upgrade with sustantial hp and u nonit to worry bout atf fluid anymore....real man uses 3 pedals

Real man drives sticks, can't agree more. But when it comes to traffic jam for hours + heavy clutch, I'd rather sacrify a bit of performance and fun for more practical usage. But if my gb fails one day, I will most likely go manual though.
