Recently, saw some fake Pioneer PRS speakers sold at a an accessory workshop at Jln. Sg Besi (next to BHP petrol station). So, buyers beware.

Wow, this thread is really scaring the shit out of me into getting a new speaker system. I just wanted to buy a set of Sony XPlod 6958B speakers (6 x 9) and I saw many shops selling those speaker type at RM150 below. All these auctions are found in www.mudah.com.my and I dunno wether I should proceed into buying this speaker. Can anyone advise? Or anyone with the set of speaker tell me the price when they bought it back (original)?

Bro...if u do google for this model xs-GTF6958B u will just get 5 result and all of it r in Malaysia...n it not even listed in the sony explode website....so u should no its a fake sony product....if it is an original sony explode u will get a thousands of google hit. But anyway they let us know that they r fake....the problem is that those that imitate the real one in almost every aspect....not even a train eyes can differenciates them....the only way to be sure is to buy from a legitimate dealer that u can always check from the internet....if u r in sabah...go to Fuji Car Accessories....they all they prove that the products is original....but never let them install it in ur car....cos a kid install better than their worker...shit....i got all the scracthes in my car becos of their install....damn....

i bought a MTX Thunder 4000 10' sub a few months back.. but now only i found out about this thread. As far as i remember there was no Made In USA sticker at the magnet. But i blast this sub kao kao.. it has not failed me yet.

just to inform all the ppl out there,recently got lots of fake rockford fosgate speaker running in the market,especially t162s,component and some coaxial speaker,so if u want to get original product,just insists on autocraft sticker as autocraft is the only one who r legal in selling original rockford product.other then that,is fake.thanks

i just bought a fake soundstream speakers from maxaudio dealer at lelong.

the dealer said got warranty and original from MAT but only postage and no COD. without really researching much i just went ahead and bought the speakers without really researching as i thought maxaudio was a reputable company..

however, when the shipment arrived, i knew straightaway that the speaker i bought were fake as the printing in the box was not clear, there was no serial number or date of production and the distributor was not even MAT but some random company which does not even exist..

so i called the dealer to complain regarding the speakers and he said its 100% original and gave me maxaudio's manager as well as the distributors number. they all "berpakat" and tell me all kinds of bullshit that their speakers are "100% original/warranty 1yr provided/money back guaranteed all that crap..i trusted those buggers and went on to install my speakers on my car..the speakers sounds worst than shit, not clear sound, sucky bass

to all members please do not make the same mistake i did..never buy from stupid conjob company maxaudio and its dealers.. and when buying stuff online insist on COD
