How to Improve staging/Imaging

how about Esclipse cd7000?

if you have already bought it, no point in
asking. but if you are at the looking for a
hu stage, at that price... i suggest that
you should give it a second tot.

personal opinion, that's all.

very rare, around 1k++

but the clarion in the link above is the HX-D1, also 1k++, this one i know where to get...hehe..

the DXZ956MC is also a good choice an all in one HU

-built in amp but can be turned off when getting dedicated 4 channel amp
-6 pre out 4volts
-full 6 channel built in crossover with max -18db/oct
-full individual channel gain control & phase adjustment
-built in time correction
-24bit dac

getting this HU will save alot of money coz getting the xover and stuff individually will cost loads

just my 2 cents

BigV,

The HU you are refering is a clean deck. That obviously save a lot of extra cost of getting additional DSP component and installation aspect but in serious SQ, user wil go for pure deck where the HU will only delivery audio signal. everything else is external.

Yep V-pilot you're right but for entry level/beginner stage SQ should be ok though not pure deck.

but one thing, even though the HU feature built in 3 way xovers, it is best to get an external xover coz the output sounds kinda digital..dunno maybe it's just me.

to me they are somehow digital too... dunno is psycology or what la... but i think i heard some differences when using digital crossover like 9855 and a analog one like F1... voltage output not the same? hehe... but f1 sound fuller and more natural which is my personal preference than 9855...

9855 has nothing compare to F1. Voltage pre-out does makes very huge different. You want good SQ, most importantly comes from the source.

not sure what you are saying, but many interesting
vocabs are used for describing sound in one single
statement... digital, analog, fuller and natural.

Sometime it is due to the amplifier. Never deny the source is important. Some amplifier produces clean sound but not warm.

tru tech got HU ar?
never see one before, pls post pic... tq.
