Battery Ploblem For Rx8 Help

i change my rx 8 baterry today, after that the rpm become very low below 500rpm what had wrong with it? pls somebody help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:cry_smile:

Is there any engine check light turn on?? Does it feel jerky?? Is there any strange noise??

engine check light not on , the engine will died when free gear.

That's strange!! did you check is the battery ok??? The alternator is it working...... most probably your ignition coil has a problem........ why dont you send to C&C for diagnostic......

just change again the battery la...i assume it still under warranty....
i just change my batt last month and the important thing that guy say is that the battery must be the exact same size,,,,,strange huh??...
i tot all battery are the same.....heheheh...:cyclops:

battery needs to be exactly the same with number of elements same etc...

let's say old battery has 5 row.... u have to get back 5 row.. else u'll suffer from low voltage/amphere.

read your manual... get the same specs...

after 2 to 3 day drive it came back normal already, may be rx8 like some continental car u cannot cut off the baterry when u change the battery, some forman said is the setting run already need a few days to came back normal setting don't know is true or not?

is not true la....i guess that the forman is trying to save himself la....of coz he dont want in the losing side,,,they would say anything that make us comfortable or something that what we want to hear....

so far (not that i know of..) takdela pulak people have this sort of problem.....better try the others in the rx8 forum that i gave at the last post.....maybe they can reply regarding this matter......not a lot of rx8 members surf at this thread (i think...)...coz they always reply on the other forum....

Pls go n diagnos your ecu at C&C....... It wont cost much, some times even free....... All i can say is the ignition coil is faulty..... I have a fren that has the similar problem like you....
