KUALA LUMPUR, July 29 — Perak Pakatan Rakyat (PR) accused the Barisan Nasional (BN) state government today of recklessly emptying the state’s coffers, claiming Perak was headed towards financial ruin with a record budget deficit of RM104 million this year. Sitiawan assemblyman Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham slammed the BN state administration for its plan to table a RM80 million supplementary budget during the Perak assembly next Tuesday, saying the request for additional funds only proved the administration’s inefficiency. The former senior state executive councillor claimed that the BN administration, in its short rule under Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abd Kadir, had ruined the hard work of its predecessors.

“PR’s 10-month rule saw Perak’s revenue touch a historic high with an additional RM103 million.

“Ten months of BN’s rule sees Perak facing its highest deficit in history, with RM104 Million in deficit.

“The request by the BN government for an additional RM80 million proves PR governs the state better than the BN,” he claimed in a statement today.

i don surprise wif this..even we paid so much income tax to government every year but yet they tell us tht malaysia going to bankrupt soon..where the hell is our money gone???

Well...... sooner or later this country will end up like Indonesia/India. The rich getting richer whilst the poor, getting poorer...... All thanks to people like this!! :mad:

isnt this the same story as Penang? in FY2008, penang made losses(i forget how much) while in FY2009...they made gains as much as RM88million

2008 = who jaga?
2009 = who jaga?

read in malaysian insider but cant find the article again...

our country so much resources...go outside to countryside, close yr eyes, turn 3 times n randomly point...sure got some sort of natural resources...we have the perfect weather to plant so many important crops...sugarcane for sugar n ethanol(think alternative sustainable fuels), palm oil(again bio-diesel for alternative fuel), rice(...how come we need to import when we can plant our own?), fruits(watermelons cost like rm25/kilo in taiwan/china/korea during their winters n their summers dont provide good conditions to produce good watermelons...whereas we can produce good quality watermelons...y not export more?imagine mangos, rambutans n all those other fruits we take for granted...they're so expensive overseas...)

we have the capacity to be rich, just not the will.
