Boss kit for Merc 190E

Hi I'm a 190E owner. Forgive me for my ignorance but what is a boss kit? If it can improve the car I'm all for it. Thanks.
 
yea its the one behind the steering.You need it if you plan to fit an aftermarket steering onto your vehicle.eg.Momo,Sparco,Nardi ..etc. Its called a Boss kit btw.

How do I confirm if its oil or fuel problem?
