Hi everybody,
would you like to tell me, wat is the difference between the brake fluid grad dot 3, 4 and 5.1 and with synthetic...
Currently I driving de Kelisa, so i going to change brake fluid, so with grad i wanna going to change?

as i heard dot3 brake fluid can be use to unfade our headlamps ? it it true?

the different is the boiling temperature of the fluid....if your Kelisa is using a DOT3 brake fluid(red colour)you should not change to DOT4(yellow colour)because it will damage your oil seal..most of the car now a days are using DOT4 and as far as i know..only tank are using DOT 5.1

not..if u wanna change to Dot4 ur need flushing out all the Dot3 fluid inside the master pump n brake caliper..

yes it can try it i saw this one thread said a guy uses dot 3 brake fluid for clearing faded headlamps have to buff it like using any other headlamp cleaner or autosol

higher the dot higher the boiling point.. because stoppage of movement transforms kinetik energy into thermal energy (first law of thermodynamics) the high temperature can more than often boil the brake fluid in the lines.. unlike fluid, air can be compressed... therefore u need to depress the brakes more..

another form of brake fads happends when the heat between the disc brakes and brake pads form a thin layer of gas in between which hinders contact path. this also makes braking inifficient..

and try not use brake fluids which has been exposed in the open for too long or has expired from its shelf life date.. brake fluids exposed to the atmosphere absorbs water and this form of water boils even faster in ur line...
