ca16 or ga16?

hye guys.... newbiews here... want some info bout this 2 engines.... any info you can share? coz i'm in dilemma right now... i'm planning to transform my engine later but the confusing part is... my mechanic suggested me to used a ga16 de engine but my uncle says its better to use a ca16de engine... i'm using a sentra n13...

actually my mechanic says the ca16de halfsut is no more at the 'chopshop'. is it true? but the ca16 engine is quite power... that's what i've heard la...

hope all the NISSAN 'SIFU'S' can give me a suggestion... i mean from the cost... the modd... and etc.. please help me.... coz i've really suffer using this n13 with the old engine.... :p and is it the both halfcut can easily fits 'ngam-ngam' into my car?

better go ga16 bro.. sparepart also easy to get..
compare with ca16de..it's old engine.. sparepart very hard to find..
otherwise u can upgrade to sr18de ..more power than the
both engine ga and ca..

last choice sr20de or det... lagi sedap..

keta aku baru je siap, N13 cam kau jgk...aku suggest kau go thru dulu thread/topic berkenaan dgn sentra..anyway kalau kau nak 'belajar' pasal kes tukar enjin aku bleh citer...

n13.. masuk engine apa tu bai...
sr20det ke NEO ? nak register kena banyak duit wooo..
susah skrg nak register...

kalau NEO tu kena carefull banyak la pakai brother,,
sparepart bukan banyak..
 
CA18DE je...tu pun dah cukup power..susah gila aku nak tuning suspension. still tak dapat tekan full kat corner..
maksud aku tak dapat give out full potential.kn belajar byk lagi..kalau jln straight takat 220 aku pnh buat.tp aku takut le..goyang gile. engine nak pegi lagi..aku timbang dgn wira1.8gti

bro i think i cannot see you at the sepang drag laa... coz i'have a presentation to do... it's my final year in study so i've to do final project presentation maaa.... sowyy la huh? but if i can make it i'll tell you... ;)

aku pon ade n13 gak..kalo nak power try sr16 la beb..neo vvl..ade mamat vtec ni kate setakat b16 tu tapau je..b18 ssh sket laa..halfcut aku usha dlm 6k laa..
 
MMG LA POWER...but plz do think about ur poket 1st when u thinkin about doing any modification...i think sr18de pn ok...
some says it got +-190hp under hood...
but u now nissan,not like vtec..

better go for 'neo' or 'sr20det' .. i used sr18de taken from pulsar gti last time,
now using sr20det from pulsar gtir..
spec sr18de 137-140bhp only.. sr20de 140bhp .. sr20det 210 - 250bhp

talking about sr18de.. overall engine ok.. tork good.. top speed habis meter..
maintenance pun ok.. feel good la but cant compare with sr20det ..
det much more better than na..

depend on how deep is your pocket la..
suggest go for sr20det or 'neo'
so u wont regret in future ..
 
bro how much is the half cut? the SR18DE? quite interested laa... so you also using n13 kaa??? what is the comparison between CA18DE and SR18DE??? is it the new model engine compare to CA18DE or what? could you tell me....

want to think about the next project laa..... hahahaha cheers for you guys...

EMM...SR18DE got on few nissan-japan model.PM me for info & price..i got few half cut..u pakai N13 ok la...hayyyaaa
SR20DET mmg best...kwn ada aku pakai...tp aku suggest kalao nk pakai SR20DET baik order pulsar GTI-r kat grey importer.N/A pun sulah manyak susah mau tune...engine nk pegi..chasis dah goyang...use daily wish...guna N/A engine la...
 
erm....ade tak dashboard n13 complete...aku pakai dashboard pulsar tapi tak ngam la...kalo ade dashboard complete ngan hos aircond ke pm aku okey..
 
ca18 is a old engine, using timing belt but good in high rev..
small size engine compare with sr engine..
sr18 consider new engine using timing chain.. so less maintenance..
spare part also easy to find.. even at spare part..

so better go for sr la,, easy in future
either sr18de, sr20de, sr16vvl,sr20vvl, sr20det..
for more power better go for sr20det gtir..
other sr20det also still ok.. like u12, u13, or u14..

i saw halfcut u14 black top front mount ic..
at cheras.. hp i think around 210bhp ..

haloo boss...tarak ngam ke dashboard tuh...kasi aku lah..
dashboard aku pecah la...
N13 complete dashboard susah mau cari maaa...
time ada tu jaga la betul2... :smile: :albertein

if u can point me few shop in KL that got enough stock part for SR18DE engine and etc i'm going to consider pasang it into my front hood...ganti CA18DE.
my only worry is piston rings, piston, head gasket.... anyway it using digital ecu...thats da best things....
u dah pegi ke NISSAN PJ yg jual NISMO stuff...CLUTCH 3 KAKI ADA TAK??? aku nyer dah worn out

my Little Sentra 1989.. Old!

Engine using Nissan CA16DE from Nissan Exa KN13 Japan! Stock LSD gearbox with volt meter & oil-pressure meter ! Rear Discbrake, 15: Sport Rims, KAYABA SR Special Abosrber from Pulsar GTi-R N14 with RSR Springs !

Engine Power? Great but comsumption " KAwkaw " 180km/h no problem ...

Gearbox ? CLose Ratio Final Gear 4.4 5th gear 100km/h 3500RPM ...

Spare Part? Wow Hard to get, expensive and all need to import from japan or "chop" from Chop Shop!

Interior? Standard... come with Original Oil-pressure & Volt meter

Exterior ? haha, need to spray it.. old lioa..

Suspension / Chassis ? : Ussing Nissan Exa KN13 anti roll bar, more stiff than stock, KAYABA SR Special absorber from Pulsar GTi-R

Brake? Wanna convert to Pulsar GTi-R 260mm ventilated disc rotors!
