I've spent lots of money on detailing products and my car is regularly used to demonstrate Meguiars and Swissol products.
A few tips for you all:
If you wash only once a week, don't waste your money on expensive waxes.
In our climate, contaminants will stick to a freshly waxed surface and stain it quickly if you don't wash it off asap. Very obvious on white cars.
It's easy to produce a great looking car at a single point in time...just detail it using proper techniques and products!
However, to have a consistently good looking car, the secret is daily washing.
There's no other way, if you drive it everyday.
My car is washed everyday using good quality shampoos such as those from Meguairs. For maximum economy and ensure the spoo will not strip your wax, I recommend AMWAY's car shampoo. It's great and cheap! Fully imported from the US. Hv been suing it for more than 6 years.
Always remember, waxing and polishing (detailing, in general) is worthless if you just wash your car once in a blue moon. The secret is how often can you afford to wash.
