Check BoV

just wondering,what points does one keep in mind when buying a 2nd hand bov?
what do u check for that is physically visible?

check for leakage.if piston type,check the piston whether the scratch is not
to deep or it will leak.valve type is much more durable like greddy.check
the valve to make sure it seat tightly on the valve seat.
the most difficult b.o.v to check is ssqv.

hrm..okay okay.
i bought the prof bov.piston type.so far so good.

anyone knows how do take it apart and lube it and put it back together?i guess its the same as the sheepdog bov.

i may be wrong.

first thing is,prof IS sheepdog.prof is the company that make it while sheepdog
is the name of the product.it's ez to disassemble the b.o.v.there allen key on
top of it right?just open it up,clean it,lube it n reassemble it back.that's all.

wait,the top has the allen key hole.haha! i didnt realise.but when i take that off..i cant get under the bov.the adapter is there..i cant get the adapter off.

btw,what lube shud i use?

no,no...my bad...only the imitation sheepdog got allen on it.the allen that
u see is to compress the spring inside to make it hard or soft.try n turn it.
i mean hold the b.o.v the top part n the lower part with both hand n turn it.
i really can't recall how i open it up before.the last time i came across this
b.o.v is around 4 yearsback.what about the flange(tapak)?y u can't take it off?
lube,grease would be fine.

i was planning to buy 1 soon.. can any1 giv me some tips how to indentify whether ori or fake.. tq

the 1 that u see in the pic r ori sheepdog.the fake 1 got 4 allen on top
of the b.o.v.

there is a Safety clip down near the piston, the moment u press it using the tool
it will pop out the piston n spring
clean it up :)

never thought the lower construction of the sheepdog is
exactly like blitz ss b.o.v.at first i thought only the fake
sheepdog constructed that way....hehehe...sorry bro.
