i'm just about to buy the optra 1.6. i think its a very nice car. looked high and low for almost all brands except honda and found that the built of the car is good. nice to drive and not many on the road. got alot of vios...

I think you're better off finding those answers in the korean threads.

Chevies in Malaysia are Daewoos, except for the Nabira and Lumina. These are from Opel.

I think the use Chevrolet instead of GMC is that Chevrolet is better associated with sports/mucle cars than plain old GMC.

I personally do like Optra very much for the conti looks. But sorry to say, it's just a HUGE marketing gimmick. Aveos, Optras, Optra5, (except Nabira & Lumina) are all Korean makes, Daewoo to be exact, GM rebrand them as Chevys and try to have a big slice of market share from Honda and Toyota over the Asean region, in fact they did it. (Nabira and Lumina are both Opels)

Oh.... i love the Optra Wagon too !!! but all chevy interior are still not on par with the Japs.... but Optra's styling is a real winner (pininfarina if i'm not wrong .... right?)
