Hi sifus,

I went to have a look an a DC5 R (finding to buy one), and i noticed 2 things about the car.

1. The disc brake calipers seems quite used, as in the colour/paint has worn off quite a lot.

2. The engine, during idling, right after the auto-choke turns off, has an audible tappet sound.

Are these signs that the car has been badly trashed by the previous driver?
The disc brakes have been change to serrated ones and the tyres are Potenza Re001 R, so this gives me the impression that it was used a lot on the track.

Other than that, exhaust change, front and back stabiliser bars, that's all.

Is it still worth considering this car?

The mileage is 25K

What kind of Stabiliser Bars are we talking about here?
Front Engine Tower Bar? Anti Roll bars?

The "clyclic knocking sound" is probably not the tappet, tappet can easily be checked by opening the engine valve head cover.

What i suspect more is the extractor, possible extractor leaking.

this week i cannotla tt.. kena port polish block..nak buat lumba masa raya nanti..bini bising kalau tak laju..anak2 pun dah ramai..sume nak rasa adrenalin feel ...so i kena usaha sikit this weekend..nak sampai kampung bole jadi kampung cempion..maap ye kawan2..nanti kalau dah siap..nak marking sama prasath..sebab dia dah buat gearbox..huhuhuu

Does anyone know how much changing the DC5 black glass (rear windscreen and 2 back windows) to white glass cost?

The dealer i'm buying the car from is charging me RM 1900.
Is that reasonable?

i am not sifu... but i have been considering a dc5 lately.. and i don believe in the mileage shown as they can adjust it.. especially if the condition is not good but showing a low mileage.. my 1 cent...

i will be going to OKR to have a look at 1 dc5 today... and will try to take a picture...
